Leave Simon alone! :p He's one of my favorite people that I've met from TA. ;) You too of course! :D |

Didn't you have a long-distance internet relationship with Loconet for a while? |
I met loconet when i was in high school with him. The only reason i have to use the internet to communicate with him is because i'm living in ireland right now (moving to canada this winter though).
I didn't meet him on the internet, it's just a means of communication, as is the phone, until i get to physically be with him again. |

Online dating.. eh. I wouldn't go online with the intention of dating someone, but if I met someone and we struck up a good friendship then it would be an option... IF there was a chance of meeting them sometime soon. I wouldn't get into any relationship commitments with someone I've not met, I know this is the virtual age and all but how can you have a relationship with someone you've not even spent time with, hugged or kissed.
I mean I've got some good online friends, but I wouldn't date them, it just wouldn't be that convenient if nothing else. |

last year i had a very serious "intraweb" relationship for about 5 or 6 months, with a guy who i met through a message board (not this one, but he's on TA as well) who lived 2000 miles away from me. we were totally consumed in each other, had an amazing connection, and i can honestly say that i DID fall in love with him. he helped me see a much more positive way of living life, and really helped me develop as a person - through his music (he spun sets weekly on XTCradio and PureDJ and sites like that), and also through his own attitude on life. i owe a lot to him for that, because knowing him made me a totally different person. a person that i am 100% happy with to this very day.
anyway, i was supposed to go visit him, and i had plane tickets and everything, and i totally chickened out. to this day i still wish i would've gone to visit him, if anything just to meet him and spend time with him and to see where things could've gone. i don't regret things that i've done in my life, because where i am in my life is where i want to be, but i still look back on it with a bit of remorse.
i have a wonderful bf now (that i met in person), and the guy mentioned above has a wonderful gf who he wants to marry. we're still great friends (although we don't talk as much as we should), so everything worked out fine.
hummmmm i wonder if he reads the COR. :wtf:

yah i was totally psycho. i had my bags all packed and instead of going to the airport i went on a coke binge with my co-worker. now that i look back on it though i had a lot of issues that caused our relationship to fall apart, and it was mostly my fault. |
