BUT THE DAMN KICKER IS THE $$$$$
the base salary is just a bit below what i was hoping... damn. i guess i could've expected that, and the manager can expect to get a counter offer from me tomorrow. :toothless

Counter offer, if that doesn't work - TAKE IT!!!
the money if its your dream job. I'd much rather be doing something I find really interesting and enjoyable for a bit less money than doing something not as good for a bit more.
There are always chances to pick up extra money, excel at your job and your salary will be boosted - your starting salary is often increased upon after a little while anyway once you start moulding into the company. A starting salary is just that - starting. |

| Sometimes it's not about the money. If your job offers at least five things you can learn to advance and put on your resume then go for it. |

ah yes, typical cash-whore with a typical "american dream" once again proving money is more important to most americans than having a quality life.

the point is to show that money doesnt define how great ones life can be, and yes, being broke can still bring u happiness....dont get me wrong tho, if i had a million dollars, id spend it on an ooooold classic porsche, but a loft, and some scandinavian furniture. that would make me VERY happy. but its not materialistic that makes u happy in the end......
anyways, my dream job is to work as a creative director for an advertising agency as well as fashion photographer (both are a lot of fun). i dont care about the money (and i know my pay will be CRAP for the first few years at least as a designer). but im studying graphic design because i love it.....americans just dont get it. |

i know what you mean man. material happiness isnt true happiness. i get almost everything i could need or want, but that doesnt change the fact that without a friends and relationships is a lonely depressing life. trust me, i understand.
my dream plain and simple is to DJ and Produce. if i dont make it big, whatever, i just want to share trance with the world. Im most likely going to college for Recording Arts so that i can atleast work with music. I'll be happy if i can get a residency at a small club and just play on weekends as long as i can still spin and share this great music.
if i dont go for recording then im going for multimedia/animation/webdesign cause thats another passion of mine... i really dont care about making my millions. i just want to be able to support myself and my family and still die a happy man. |
