Yeah Armin's amazing. Every time i've gone to see him he transfers so much of his energy and love for the music he is playing to the crowd.
I think that in itself is what makes him so good. I love to see him get into his music and coax the crowd into having as good a time as he is! :D
Can't wait to see him again!

I agree with Jayx1's points completely. World-class club = sardine goodness. I'm sure Armin and Ferry have been to enough clubs to know that that happens out on the dance floor. But, the people who whine about it are generally the minority, otherwise it wouldn't be packed week after week. We just have to face the fact that these DJ's are going to be huge draws, and unless they book a bigger facility, we're gonna get crushed into the Guv... I wish they'd open Kool Haus for all the special events though :(

Production yes. But this is the catch. Many good producers cant DJ to save their life yet thats what they get booked to do. I want DJs who can DJ and producers who can produce. This is why i feel so many of the "top" djs are so bad. Sure they make a good or popular track which is what gets them booked but they cant mix.

i heard the same thing from ferry corsten and AVB that the guv is the craziest place ever. how about if ferry and avb were on the dance floor, instead of the dj booth, what do you guys think they would think about the club. suppose its a special event, and ferry and avb are just a part of the crowd, and lets say pvd is spinning.:D

Actually i have seen AVB out on the floor. It was labour of love.

I continue to insist that even at its worst, if you think guv is packed you havnt seen anything. Try being at Creamfields or Pacha some day.

Well , G&D first come to my mind when I think of producuers who are not good djs. But everyone within top 10 are very good djs, they are surely not the best if you take technical skills alone, but they are still quite good.

Plus this contest is pure popularity. And the only way is to be popular now days is to produce and tour.

tiesto is a great dj? NO WAY. technically hes not that good. And armin neither.

Dont get me wrong. These guys play the songs that a lot of people want to hear but i think there are other DJs out there that could put them together much better.

I feel bad slamming armin because hes such a cool dude and one of the best DJs ive ever worked with personality wise, but i have to be honest here.

Agreed :( I wish they had opened KH the last time Armin came over... would have been so much nicer with more space :(

but then you get the people who complain because the koolhaus is too "impersonal".

Mark dedicates so much of himself to playing weekly @ the Guv, and other events across Canada. Most of the DJs that are big also have a single or album, or other productions to spread the word about them.

If Mark had some productions and did more self-promotion, I'm sure he'd do well internationally. The man has a great ear for music, and a talent for sharing it.

He had Timeless Trance which wasn't even production worthy.
