Well, he is not really different from the Cox back in 2000. And that's maybe his biggest problem.
He's still quality when it comes to making a party, but he does that in the exact same way as he did four or five years ago.. No real innovation, which leads to boredom for people who have heard him quite a few times the pst few years.
You can't deny he's still a crowd pleaser though. |

Tiesto not only spins Umek but he remixed Gatex and was spinning this quite often as well as quite a bit of other techno tunes back in 2003. I saw him during his ISOS3 tour and he played all sorts of techno, and I think alot of people would say traffic is techno influenced and his sound was during that time. |

but i think most of us are talking about REAL techno.. he mixes it in with run of the mill trance.. which makes it nothing spectacular..
i spin techno.. doesnt mean i am the one and only . you could say my attempts at producing solid progressive tracks are techno influneced... doesnt mean its techno. |

Tiesto is playin some REAL techno tunes (for example tunes from Speedy J are REAL techno imo). The difference is that he not plays only techno, he is changing styles.
I personally think that Marco V`s tracks are more cheese than techno tunes picked by Tiesto. I dont like his style at all.

try getting your hands on some set by ton tb. he played a massive techno set at space for WMC 2004.

lol.. picotto cant spin for .. trainwrecks just like tiesto on many transitions during his sets.. i saw him live 3 times. all 3 sucked plus he dont stand his own compared to some serious techno jocks as mentioned preciously by tiesto14 & tta..

I am trying to find a DJ, who is playing mainly that (or similiar) kind of techno in his sets. Maybe DJ Montana is the guy, but I didnt heard any of his sets/cds. Somebody can help me with that? |
