Is there any food (or drink) you'd like to try but you never had the opportunity to?
- Sand Leaper and I want tacos (or, at least, I think he does, based on his statement from this thread). Nachos too.
- I'd like to have kimchi as well.
- I've never had Nam, which seems to be a Thai bread (according to my girlfriend). Bread is always often good so I'd like to try.
- I've never had Ginger Ale either, and the thought of drinking something made out of ginger makes me curious. The same goes for "Vanilla Pepsi" or whatever Vanilla-flavoured drinks exist.
And you?

hm
first thing that comes to mind as for food or drink i want to try is rockstar and 151, all i could find this weekend was red bull :p
but in all seriousness, i can't really think of anything
tried most weird things i can think of
i've had calamari, octopus, caviar, escargot (and love them all as well :))
i'm sure there's stuff out there that i've never had that i'd love though, just haven't found it :( |

well i'll share my experiences since i've had some of those things...
Kimchi
kimchi is an aquired taste hehehe. it's hot and the cabbage is what will make most people not like it. However, if you like hot stuff and can stand cabbage...you might like it. It was definitely something that had to grow on me with time.
Ginger Ale
its good stuff. It kinda almost has a little cherry taste to it (maybe i'm making that up hehe). i dunno i haven't had it in a long time, but it's pretty good.
Sake
Sake is very sweet. I wouldn't want to drink it a lot, but i might have some if i'm out at a sushi bar or something.
I've tried a lot of wierd stuff hehehe...but i'd like to try some really exoctic foods...can't really think of any of the top of my head though. |

I was imagining something completely different (spicy/salty), makes me more curious :)

Did you drink it hot or cold?
I'm not sure if that's because I'm not really fond of alcohol, but hot sake seemed to be sour... maybe cold sake is sweet. |

| Something I have had while living in Mexico City was snails covered in goat cheese and drenched in octopus ink. That was unique. I also had some other plate of shrimp with goat cheese and octopus ink at the same restaurant. Come to think of it, I had a lot of weird foods while living there :). I think everything is worth trying once. |

Ginger Ale is good, I had that when I was a kid. The cherry taste you are probably talking about is that a lot of people like to add grenadine to it (which then makes the popular kids drink - Shirley Temple) |

hmmm...maybe i'm just confusing my tastes on the sake. i had it warm. all i know is it seemed very strong in some sense of taste hehehe.
and the ginger ale doesn't really taste like ginger. its just another carbonated beverage, but it does have a different taste to it...but not a ginger one. |

in that case, i think you will want to try Ginger Beer. it's got a real strong ginger flavor, and is a bit spicy. it's not alcoholic, but it's great. i like it way better than Ginger Ale.
one of my favorite cocktails is made with Ginger Beer. it's called a Moscow Mule...
2 ounces Vodka
2 ounces Lime Juice
8 ounces Ginger Beer
pour over ice and you can also add fresh fruit, like lemon, lime, orange... and it's best if you use a copper mug. i forget why, because when the bartender told me i was 10 minutes away from turning 21 and i was inebriated.
but seriously, try it. :D |

| I've had very expensive caviar and, personally, I found nothing appealing about it. |
