Best Track : 2004 was a wonderful year, filled with MANY, MANY fantastic tracks. I'll have to do a top three for this one, because I don't think that I can pick just one, so in no particular order:
Eric Morillo, Harry Romero & Jose Nunez feat. Jessica Eve - Dancing (Fuzzy Hair Remix)
Infusion - do to you (in '82)
Markus Schulz presents Elevation - Somewhere (Clear Blue)
Best Remix : Top three again, in no particular order:
Max Graham - Azzido da Bass - Dooms Night (Timo Maas remix)
Delerium ft Jael of Lunik - After all (Prospero's destruction of beauty mix)
Eric Morillo, Harry Romero & Jose Nunez feat. Jessica Eve - Dancing (Fuzzy Hair Remix)
Best DJ : On this one I'm going on based on performances that I have seen throughout the year, and I would have to say my top three that I've seen this year is Sander K, Dave Seaman, and Markus Schulz. :D
Best Liveset : Ones that I've been to, would have to be Markus Schulz @ Mia 06.08.04, PVD @ FUR/GLOW 18.08.04 (even with the two ups which weren't his fault), and Sander K @ ICON 21.04.04
Ones that I have in my posession : James Holden live @ exposure the hague 17-04-2004, Deep Dish - Essential Mix - 28-08-2004, Gabriel and Dresden - Thump Radio Live @ The Palms Hotel WMC 2004.03.06
Best Amateur DJ : By Amateur, I'm assuming you mean those that don't play in actual clubs - Scottaculous, Vero & DawnTreader, and gcrasher.
Best Essential Mix : I haven't listened to all of them, so I cannot provide an overall best essential mix vote, but from what I DO have, Deep Dish - Essential Mix - 28-08-2004
Best Overall Producer : Scottaculous, James Holden, Markus Schulz, Timo Maas, G&D
Best CD : Sander K "This is Everybody Too"
TA Specifics:
Biggest TA annoyance of the year: MERTON for the earlier part, Theresa for the latter. |

I know it's old, but I really don't care. It's an excellent remix ;)
*edit* The funny part about it is that I was debating not putting it down for that reason, but since quite a few friends of mine have been playing that in their sets lately I put it down anyway.
*edit number two* And since when do you care if you're being a nitpick? :stongue: :disbelief |

his tracks are awsome
here is an example what im talking about
http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...threadid=223405
hes been consistent with his releases |
yes, i have heard all of his material as i browse tha amateur production forum regularly. i know that its hard to produce good material, and i do enjoy his melodies and tracks, however, he makes what is the most formulaic and typical trance you can possibly make. typical buildup, breakdown. same synths. same pads. little usage of sound effects. very envioish sounding tracks w/o the amazing guitar melodies. simple and methodical percussion. sorry... i completely support sunquest and his works and i'm happy that he's been signed (so i heard). but i cannot put him anywhere close to best overall producer. |
