and what if there was 100% accurate intel on his weapons?
left wing nuts will still defend saddamn's case or whoever has them, claiming it was the fault of the west (or another reason) |
and where did he get those chems?
There was 100% accurate info though, its was complete bull, and bush new it.
of ocurse it was the fault of the west, american and britain. who else was at fault? |

Yep, we gave him the WMD's & then invade his country to find him & oust him out of power because we didnt believe that he was telling the truth. Well he wasnt lying by saying he had no WMD's. Now Iraq is more unstable than before. They are on the brink of a civil war. And the USA has 1100 familys grieving their KIA loved ones. And weve spent like a trillion dollars over there so far & more to spend. Take that money & put it into health care & then every american has it.
The point is that I really dont think the middle east will ever be stable. The muslims are very "clanish" from what ive heard. The Sunni's hate the Shia's, the kurds hate the Sunni's, The Turks hate the Kurds. The Paki's hate the Afgan's. The Saudi's hate em all. And they all hate the Jews. They never got along before so why should we expect them to now especilly when the USA has over 150,000 troops there. |

Yes Iraq used Chem weapons in the war with Iran. But remember that was when Colin Powell was National Security Advisor. He didn't seem to thing Iraq was an "Imminent danger" to us back then.
In the late 80's our gov was also feeding the Iraqi government information on where to aim those weapons. Now if using chem weapons in Iran makes an airtight case for war why didn't we invade Iraq in the 80's? |

Resorting to labeling groups of people and using libelous terms like "nuts" is not going to win sympathy for your cause.
You seem to be one of those that actually believe in the cause for the war in Iraq. By this I mean you must love the fact that there are over 1100+ troops and thousands more civilians dead over non-existent Weapons of Mass Destruction. |

why do conservatives continue to lump the iraqi war with defending this country and the world against terrorism when Saddam Hussein had absolutely nothing to do with the 9/11 bombings? |
Had to quote your original because the thread is drifting off base. Saddam Hussein was the premier terrorist in his day. Waiting to see his day in court when they spell out his true crimes. Saddam wanted nothing more than revenge after his ouster/ass whipping from the Kuwaiti fiasco, so logically we figured he brokered the deal no matter how far removed they smoked the blame line.

Iraq May Be Prime Place for Training of Militants, C.I.A. Report Concludes

| i mean you gotta stick with your believes, and that's what conservatives believe in. they think liberals are crazy for thinking differently. |

No because they violated the UN resolutions...time and time again. That was reason enough to be suspicous and invade. |
