I'm not angry. Biggest trance track of all time? Sandstorm.
Thread over. |
Nope. Children outsold it by about 4:1, making it probably the biggest trance record ever released. |

I'd go with that. I think ATB's 9pm was also bigger than Sandstorm. |

Ive said it before, and Ill say it again. Take the vocals away from this song, and youve got a classic, as well as a great re-release remix with Salt Tank's Reactivation Mix.
Got to agree with the guy who said Sunday Club - Healing Dream
Classic Dream trance imo. Best promo i ever picked up. |

Fragma : Toca Me
Mauro Picotto : Lizard
William Orbit : Barber's Adagio For Strings (Ferry Corsten Mix)

then you are wrong. 'back in the days' does not mean 4 or 5 years ago. Still the main problem with you idiots is the fact that you start off listening to this e, then progress onto similar . Thinking that the e you started off listening to are 'classic tunes'. Bull. The first thing you ought to do when you become interested in a particular genre is get a sense of history. Until then you will all remain clueless. |

So you don't think any of those songs are classics then?
Maybe you are one of these people who likes really really niche type stuff, and then think they are cool because of it. |

Nice to see factual evidence to back that one up.
Seriously, YOU'RE the one without a clue if you believe 'old' or 'back in the day' to universally define a specific era. Anyone could just as easily piss on your bonfire & put you down you for referring to the late 80s/early 90s as 'back in the day' when you most likely have comparitively less insight into the origins of modern music from the mid 20th century & earlier (forgive me if you do, this was an assumption).
For radagash & others... take note. Most tunes mentioned here fit the bill in some of those ways. Yes, Sandstorm/Children/9pm are classics, despite them being commercially driven & technically simple, with many of us (myself incluced) disliking/being sick of them. |

not only did you assume that, you assumed that because i refute 'back in the day' as being 4 or 5 years ago, i would attach any sort of arbitrary time period to the phrase - i wouldnt, but 5 years ago does not cut it any way you look at it.
So you are wrong on both counts. |

What the is your problem? Five years is time for something to be a classic, especially as trance is not a very old genre. Just because they aren't 10 years old doesn't mean they aren't classic. There is no age a tune must reach before it suddenly becomes "classic". |
