is there any country that bush doesn't get protested in?

and don't apologize for me. i'm glad that he is getting protested. it's not like someone tried to kill him or something. this is just protest, like it's done in the states anyways.

I, on behalf of most Canadians make no such apology.

I do not apologize for people excersizing their democratic right to protest.

I do not apologize for for treating the Bush administration with the same disrespect it has shown the rest of the world.

But I do have to question how there are riots in the streets over Bush yet we do not have the same reaction when our own government takes us for a ride. McGuinty and his failed policies and lies come to mind. If only we were as passionate about our own business as we are of others'.

I agree: When the hell did it become a bad thing to protest for your beliefs. FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION - HELL FREEDOM OF CHOICE - FREEDOM - PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Non violent protests are just fine. You can make an ass out of yourself or protest on behalf of what you believe in, whatever, just don't be a jerk and be violent.

"I do not agree with what you're saying, but I will defend to death your right to say it."
-Voltaire

Of course, if you don't like the protesters, you can also exercise your privilege of ignoring them. Hehehehe...

Today President Bush was greeted with the utmost disrespect and rudeness in my city, thanks to a few choice dirtball street kids with picket signs. Although not everyone ( lets face it -- 99% ) don't agree with his policies/political views, it was incredibly rude for us to welcome the leader of another country like that.

I would like to apologise on behalf of Canadians who maintain some decency when welcoming leaders of respected nations. I hope when you crack open the newspaper tomorrow and read about the heads ( who incidentally show up at every G8 summit -- coincidence? ) that greeted him with middle fingers and burning picket signs with rude comments, that you don't generalize them with the rest of the honest, respectful Canadians.

We are not whiny bitches. Just the sad, unfortunate, lowlife s who have something to say about everything, and base their entire life on Michael Moore's films.

I understand that our country is not on our best behavior right now, and in case you forgot almost half the nation tried to change that.

You tried to FIX the bad behaviour? By voting for KERRY? Good ing job mate, you really did your homework.

Funny how two-faced you're being on this issue - getting upset because of the apology in this thread and then coming to us apologizing for your country's behaviour with the "but I didn't vote for him" tacked on. You've just done EXACTLY the same thing that the thread starter did, except that you sided with the Democrats instead of the Republicans. Guess what buddy, not ALL of us want to hear half-baked apologies for a president that we think is far more qualified to run the country than his braindead competitor would have been. Honestly you sound like a ing Canadian apologizing for this nonsense - act American and show some damn patriotism!

And you know, you're entitled to your opinion, especially being an American since you live the policies that your leader makes every day. The only thing I find disturbing is that a lot of the Kerry voters consider themselves national heroes or moral superiors to the Bush voters, and that's precisely how the democratic process ISN'T supposed to work.

You folks can be cranks all you want, but history will record the truth, just as it did for Truman and Reagan. Personally, I'm thankful that Americans in general were smart enough not to elect Kerry, because the U.S. economy would have gone down the crapper, the relevance of which to me is that the Canadian economy would have followed it down there, as would most of the world's economy.
