im pretty sure a message board is all about OPINION. and anyone on this board that has posted an opinion, whether it be political, or even something as simple as what your favourite tv show, is being a hypocrite right now.
nick was doing what any friend and fan would do...he was supporting a site to his favourite club, he was supporting his friend who is spinning, and he was giving an extended invitation to people he hasn't met to come and join in the fun of this tradition that guv has. anything he said about teisto (if you RE READ) he stated that is was a rumour.
as for guv hiring 'all these combative personalities'...whos 'all'? you know of one and hes not so much combative as he just stands up for what he believes in. everyone in this thread is being combative in one way, shape or form.
go where you want, we really don't care, nick, X1, foxy roxy and i were just supporting what we think will be the better party, the same way you guys are.
like its been said before, go where you want...but lets try and not be hypocritical and slag people for their opinions, because that is something we are all guilty of.

Listen, I've met Nick, he's a good guy, and no-one here is slaggin him for his opinion of how great The Gift with Mark will be, or for his opinion of the Guv.
People are upset with HOW he went about it, using thinly veiled attacks on Tiesto with rumours about how he's getting payed, posting the mix-mag article, i.e
"look... Mark promised that he would take us on and emotional journey of memories and fun on the 11th with the tracks that made it all happen....DEPENDING on the turnout..."
The content and tone of his posts were harsh and combative and insulting from the start. Even if that is not the intention, text is a plain medium @ times, and very difficult to determine if someone is being eager, honest, jaded, sneaky, or just making a friendly extension of their birthday list. You have to be VERY careful what you put in a public forum to represent yourself, and some bad choices were made.
Nick works hard on his site, and is pretty passionate about the Guv, just like I used to be. He probably took to heart some of the things that were said about the Guv, and got defensive.

I agree with Nick. I dont like Tiesto and wont pay $40 to see him. And you can bet your ass that if i had a guest list and it were my birthday id be inviting all of you out to where ever i thought was a good alternative as well.
Funny how some people here are allowed to have an opinion and others aren't. Very sad. |

Of ALL the replies/post with regards to this particular subject...THIS one is the best & I totally agree with it...We are ALL guilty (including me) of saying good things ("promoting") about one club... *cough* BOA *cough*... and flaming another...*cough* Guv *cough*:D
I don't know Nick & I think that he IS a good guy because his replies here have been quite subdued & eloquent while some other TAs are quick to be rude & say stupid things.Now there may have been some slight error in judgement in his part and I'm sure that he won't make that mistake again here but PLEASE poeple.....CHILL THE out:crazy: |
