Sure, it might be dillusional, but there's also something called "treating your customers right"... and by packing the clubs with insane amounts of people is NOT treating your customers the way they deserve to be treated. That's one of the reasons I will never step my foot inside the Guv's main room again, no matter who the DJ is and what the "incentives" are... (ok, maybe for Carl Cox I'd think twice).
The same goes for business owners in general - I dropped my family doctor because he was packing people up in his office when obviously he couldn't handle half of them on time. What happened instead was people coming on time for their appointments and being forced to wait at least 3-4 hours until they actually got to see the doctor. Not a good business practice, so I gave him the leg.
My money, time and comfort is a bit more valuable to me than it seems it is to most people, so don't be surprised by the comments above. |

About the Non-Guv events;
Most of them are kind of related; as you know by now most events(If not all) @ System are booked By you know who...So..Yeah..

That being said, will you stop going to Docks/System/Etc if (more like when) they have a REALLY popular night?

The thing is, I've never experienced that overcrowding that Guv deals with on a constant basis in clubs like System, Docks, etc...
System and many other clubs I frequent seem to be handling their customers just right, and have no problem with having them wait in line outside once the club reaches the capacity. And I don't mean the capacity that the owner feels comfortable with financially, but the one where all the patrons inside the club feel comfortable with physically.
Sure, once they cross onto the dark side and decide to squeeze everyone and their mother into the club, I might stop going there. But I don't see it happening to certain clubs just yet. So don't get your hopes up.
And I want my 3 minutes back for actually making this post and arguing over this topic that has been brought up zillion of times before... |
