Which would you prefer - rotary or line faders? Why? What kind of music do you spin?

i spin mostly trance and a little prog. but i love nobs, they are so much more fun than faders IMO. im not talking about control or quality or anything, for me, it just make spinning a little more fun with some rotarty nobs. (btw, i do not have a rotary mixer just yet)
*edit:* btw, your pic links are bad |

| i play techno, and i prefer line faders. quicker and sharper action, less fiddly, you can cut with them. |

I went with Rotary, Line has there benefits like what tu_face said, but I can make a smoother transition with rotaries, I own a Denon X1500, and you can quite easly mod it to have rotaries, but I've heard rumors that Denon will bring out a convertion kit anyway.
Heres a pic of what a guy did to his X1500.

i like Linear faders
im sure knobs have a longer life, i find a mixer with rotary Eqs and linear channel faders to be more pleasant looking... thats just me though
i spin trance at the mo - but im looking into getting more DnB and House so im not so restricted to one genre |

| I've never used rotary faders, so I indicated line on the poll. However, like someone else mentioned, I love the feel of knobs and can see myself enjoying the use of rotaries. |

i like rotarites because i spin prog house and it makes for a smooth transition
although i do like line faders when i spin other kinds of music since it makes for easier use of fader tricks, although a rotary mixer with a fully adjustable cross fader would be the best of both worlds i guess |

| I definately like rotary better.....it feels more natural for me personally and they are fun.....right now i have a UREI & Bozak and there both incredible but one thing i don't like with rotaries is its a bitch spinning cd's on them.....on the UREI u can get away with using one hand for 2 knobs if there next to each other(still try'n to get that down thou)........ |

| i just got a rotary mixer a few weeks ago and it takes some getting used to. i'm digging the rotaries. i dont have anything against linear faders though. they're both good but if i had to choose, i would say i like rotaries better. i play mostly trance and a little bit of prog. |
