| HOLY ! I just downloaded a 700MB ISO off DC++ at 1500kb/sec! On ROGERS CABLE! The speed started at 900k/sec and slowly went up. WOAH! I'm still using the old modem, so i haven't upgraded. |

| P.S. The file's extention is .ANTIFRAG, WTF? |

I've got the new modem and this mother****** flies like a bat out of hell. 800KB/sec all the time.
Occasionally with the old one I'd get massive spikes like that but it always subsides. By the way, .antifrag is the extension for a incomplete DC++ download. So, your file isn't complete, and it is unusable.
Haha! Way to pirate, matey! YARRRRR! |

| Yeah, I'm told that I max out the just-over 6mbps service that I now have. That's pretty rad, I think. |

DSL <> Cable
My Rogers has managed to pull itself up to about 300 k/s over the past month, which is better than we used to get - now if only they could quell that problem of it being OFFLINE FOR FIVE HOURS A DAY.

Can I get more information on this? If I get DSL now (which I intend to do because the Rogers service quality in this area has been piss-poor for the past 5 years and I'm sick of it), will I have to get a new modem/service plan to take advantage of DSL 2 when it does come out later? |

| I get 900+ all the time when grabbing something off newsgroups...but Dc++ speeds are way low...I am seriously thinking of getting the so called uncapped modem to give my internet a boost... |

Rogers doesn't have caps, so, uh, that's a huge waste of time and money.
It all depends on network conditions, not your modem. |
