yeah i think stuff like that hurts the scene for sure... cause then smaller promoters cannot afford to bring talent that will draw a crowd since the djs cost so much

I think that question should be directed to you...you never fail to to come in and plaster your negativity and bash someone. What does that have to do with anything anyways, the guy is approximately right about the age, and your the only one who cares so much. You've got some serious issues with yourself dude.

Well....dj's are concidered 'the new superstars'. Just wait a few years and every teenage girls is gawking at a poster of Tijs.... And yes, it has got out of control.

I do feel good that these DJs are getting the recognition..but gone are the days where u totally are "in' off ur dancing like nobodies business". Thats why i like it when local DJs play. No one gives a who he is, its cheaper to get in, and ur grooving away and not really caring if the DJ is pullin of some move.

Nowadays (with trance DJs mainly)... it seems like everyones waiting for the next killer bassline, or the next "anthemic melody" and u look at the DJ raise his hands or jumping around and everyone does the same. Jeez.Thats why i abhore armin so much. His music is boring and those AVB addicts are like waving their hands in the air every 2 mins praying to him like hes THE best out there.

Just listen to James Zabiela; everyone was in off yer dancing like nobody's business when I saw him. The only people staring at him were the hot girls, which gave us a better set. And gave me a great view.

Ticket prices were 10 dollars for James, it was packed, and everyone was going nuts when he played his stuff. I'll never forget that night. AVB is throwup.

Personality worship and cult followings suck. Music worship, on the other hand, is highly acceptable. That is all.

the "good old days" will always come back as something new

everyone who uses this board should read "last night a dj saved my life" by bill brewster and frank broughton. if there's one lesson to be learned about this book, dancing to music around flashing lights under the influence of substances will never go out of style.

just think, in five years, someone's gonna talk about the good old days of spirit when armin van buuren did a live show right from the club!

people will bitch alright, but u never realize how special something is until it's gone

I hope that after June 5'th next year I can experience a club night...i don't care what people say about the scene, the fact that i can have a good time listening to my kind of music is all i care about...and it's what u make of it

I've been to festivals, not clubs, and it really is what u make of it
