yeah a couple of us coaight the start of pana's set- he was wasn't to techy but we onlky heard the first 3 or so tunes. only one i can recal was traffic-tiesto. it was such a crap time to play had to get back the the hotel and sleep so couldn't hang around and watch

if that doesn't make sense i apologise- still a bit sketchy

i shall now attempt a reveiw

alrighty first of all- howe much fun was friday at the tude. there was so many more people there than i expected and they were all going bananas. Got there about 1 and stayed till about 3.30. in taht time i was very impressed with what i heard. ing mint tunes all night long. I think the night should have been called TA's Baby Boomers because i think every dj is a member- correect me if im wrong

Kryal Castle 2004

well what a day/night

started off with a delay. Evilcow and i were a slight mess after altitude the night before watching Bcarve it up, i guess i didn't behave that well then did i sezzy!

Then we arrived at Maccas (the one before the castle. The place was more colourful than a happy toy could ever be. I have never seen so many phatties in the fast food restaurant- it was great. The peple there did not know what hiot them- especially because some of them were dancing to what can be only described as elevator music coming from the roof

nce we arrived at Kryal (with binus burning sunset in the background-really cool sight) my spirits picked up. To my surprise there was only three peple wearing ponchos- one was me andthe other two were standing next too me.

Caught the end of strangis set which ment i was there in time to hear Phil K for the first and last time. Noit my style and boy did he murder Silence, should of just let it play out

Went to the HK room and caught Jeremy K whipping up a storm NOT. Man that guy looked like he wished he somewhere else when he was playing, no interest at all. 11.30 cam and the rain stopped

THE FUN BEGAN THERE

- A&N rocked the moment the frist tune was played and the bpm's picked the crowd lifted. How good was one of them climbing dsown the decks and singing to stonecold with the crowd

- A&B were next and boy were they good. Alt-F4 went nutz (i have video footage of that tune and it is insane watching the crowd during it). it was tune after tune after tune after tune...

- scott bond came on and keptthe pace going something cronic- he was really impressive and thought 3rd earth as his closing was one of the best songs of the night

- then came DAVE LEA and he stole the whole show, but only just
he ing rocked, from thge opening of Breathing, then to when he played flood control and also In Silence. It was an awesomne display

By then end of that i was screwed

Now for shout outs
slick-nick great to meet you and tear it up with you front and centre, theres your gurnsy mate :stongue:

evilcow- you looked funny dancing in a poncho and yes you will make a fortune when you sell them there next year

djB- you are a shifty little boy. Going up on stage, meeting every dj that played at the event. A&B giving you a vinyl and then having it signed by 9 or so inters and then to top it off dave lea offering to send you out a tune. Lucky prick

Euphoric madman- had a ball chatting with you at random stages of the night

chris pana- still the nicest stranger that i know- sorry couldn't hang around for the set, we were stuffed

oh and one last shout out- this goes to the lovely blonde who was dancing on the barricade and was almost having her best assets popping out of her top. Thankyou

errr im on my way!
evilcow
Well where do i start.. What a ing night.. The rain just added to the atmosphere for me but im so glad it went away.. Here a report on the acts that i saw.. Which sadly mostly only came from the main stage.. but with a trance line up like that what do u do..

Crystal method..
Too many breaks for me but loved the 2nd or 3rd last song with the vocals the whole way through.. Also loved the Smashing pumkins 1979 (remix).. the guys in the crystal method also were great front men.. Man they worked the crowd..

Agnelli and Nelson..
when i thought the crowd workign couldnt be beaten after the crystal method.. It was by these crazy mothers.. And what a set the place went on fire when these guys hit the stage... Played my 3rd favourite set of the year... Finshed with these 3 gems Bossanova-Stonecold (afterburn Mix) (in which the guys came down the crowd and sang every word of it.. Then came Agnelli and Nelson- holding on to nothing and angelli and Nelson- Everyday.. What a set.

(also if anyone knows, They played a song i loved with an acoustic guitar in it.. Kinda sounded like Loops and things..ID love to know the name..

Above and Beyond....
These guys are the kings of trance at the moment and this set was no differnt.. Played some quality trance.. Highlights included Satalite and no one on earth...True masters at work.. would have liked to see a longer set though..

Scott Bond...
Played a great driving set.. Which from what peopel told me was alot better than at SLinky earlier this year.. He played all his stuff with Solar STone as i remember and that was cool.. highlight was at the end of his set when he stopped mixing and the intro began for the full mix of 3rd earth.. amazing feeling..

Dave Lea...
Ok i have never seen this guy before, but only heard of him and i didnt no what to expect.. Ill just throw it out there this guys ign rocks.. he played tune after tune which i thoguht i wish i new what this song was.. His power and drive through the set just left me wanting more..Highlights in his set.. Was the amazing Intro Mix of Rank 1- breathing.. and GTR- Flood Control also Randy Katana- IN SILENCE..My favourite set of the night

All up a great night
My shout outs are like Limitedtimeonlys..

Chris Pana..
You are the man.. Again it was nice to have the pleasure to meet and talk to you.. The nicest Dj in australia.. I promise to stay and watch you next time you play.. The problem was i was absolutly munted after 10 hours of trance.. 3 songs was all i could do..

Jules Reynolds...
Hope you had fun in your car.. It was funny you kept leaving and going there you funny man.. Was nice to chat to you at various times over the night..

DJ B
How the did you get photos and signings from every High class DJ there.. I supose according to those guys who were ment to be security being in above and beyond is a good exscuse.. Good work

That chick at the front
was so hot.. id pay for her phone number...

To all the tranceaddict dudes i met and forgot due to my muntness.. Sorry..

Ill try and post some pics for everyone..as soon as i recharge my camera

Midro the dick closed with Silence, we heard it out in the carpark ... frigen wanka :D

but nah i dont think anyone kept playlists too much fun from 11.30-4.30 :D

Why is it that all the TA's on this site are always so negative towards Midro??? I don't get it! It seems to be a case of tall poppy syndrome. The guy has done a hell of a lot for the trance scene in Australia, he was the creator of Bass Station which is still going strong after all these years, he has produced a series of successfull albums, everytime he plays he puts so much energy into what he does and always tries to work the crowd which I love, and to top it all he's Australian. We should all be supporting him not bagging him all the time.

Oh and RaVVaR, I dont recall Midro closing with Silence. The 2nd last song he played was Universal Nation and then the last song he played was a local song, cant remember the name but it wasnt Silence.
