as i remember reading from the review re: armin in nyc, he rocked ny the night before... he pretty much did the same thing here in DC. fur is a pretty sweet club, the staff for the most part were a lot friendlier when it came to escorting people off the floor after armin was over, etc. armin played from 1 til 5 o clock. i got there a little after armin started with some of my friends. armin played a set that to me was full of surprises. his set was awesome overall, tho there was like a stretch of 45 minutes where i was not at all interested in the trance he was playing... at times, the transitions between types of tracks seemed awkward, but it's pretty tough to go from tech trance to progressive trance i guess... i LOVED the tech trance that he played. he had everyone jumping around with that. unbelievable... he played the usual fare of tracks...
no one on earth
synaesthesia
burned with desire
jump the next train
yet another suburban train (encore)
smells like teen spirit (encore)
new year's day (encore)
right now can't remember too much else because i'm working on about four hours of sleep.
i think all of the DCTAs that were there are probably sleeping. armin played after hours at glow too when i was leaving. i want to know how late that went
big ups to
all the DCTAs!!! jose, josy, erin, liz, reuben, julian, brian, amy, janette, amber (i hope u're ok this afternoon!), peter, mike vicious, djdl, steve... i THINK that's everyone i met... you guys are such an awesome group. you guys are like the tighest group of clubgoers that i have met yet... even the NYTAs don't have such comraderie, and that's a fact heh
and to my fellow NYTAs that made the trip, joey and mindy... twas a great night wasn't it? so glad to see you guys down here in another city rocking it and staying til the last record is played.
     |

shoutout to everyone for comin out plus the NYTAs which added to the already great vibe. hope we can all do it again sometime

the sky is pink (holden mix)
thats all i can think of now.. i wanna know a few of those hard tracks he played. one of them was like the 10th song i think, sal it was a little bit after you got there. that track was fckin bummmpin...

Armin was fantastic last night. Second time seeing him, first time was at the Armada opening party @ Amnesia in Ibiza. He really knows how to get a crowd going.
Jump the Next Train destroyed the floor.
EDIT: And just for everyone who doesn't know, Glow is now EIGHTEEN to enter, 21 to drink. They just cover your hands in black marker if you're not 21. Check the website.
Anyways, can't wait for the next Glow event. |
