...thought i'd post a review since we never post anymore *ahem, brian, ahem*
....made the trip up from NC to DC for the first time...the club was very nice....smaller than I expected, but I was very impressed...DJ Remy was a surprise...never heard him, but enjoyed :)
...Armin...seen him many times...and I have to say that this is the best set I've heard him spin, if not the best set I've heard yet....he played much harder than the last time I saw him in TO and as always seemed to enjoy every minute of it....
..what an encore! simply amazing...last song of encore (i believe) was Till Ya Drop
...song of the nite for me....Eternity
...it was a different experience from Toronto (when i lived in Buffalo)....but also a lot different than the *barely existant* Charlotte scene....met a lot of great people and hope to make the trip back up soon! (Markus maybe...?)
vtec - thanks again! it was great seeing you - it's been too long!!

| Holy $hit!!!! that was awsome. I'm still trying to think if I have ever heard a better set. That might have been it. We had such a great time. The club was nice, the sound system was tops and Armin came to bring it hard!!! Thanks to VTech for hooking us up and some of the other nice people we met, it's always nice to get to see ya. Maybe again soon, before March atleast. Only bad thing was there was a lot of rude people pushing and shoving (on purpose) guess some people will never get it(the idea of scene) 9/10 |

I just noticed that Till Ya Drop is a complete ripoff of Murder Was the Bass.
I had never heard Till Ya Drop previously, so I thought Armin was just playing one of the new MWtB remixes. If you remember back at the hotel room, Joey said "it woulda been cool if he played Murder Was the Bass" and I went "he did, towards the end!" But turns out I was just thinking of Till Ya Drop. Just a housier and less hard version of MWtB...they need to change the name of Till Ya Drop to "murder was the bass (remy & klinkenberg's copywright enfringement rework)"
