death

i had a very bad trip on a spacecake in amsterdam the wkd i went to dance valley and it stemmed into the worst nightmare ever where nothing existed, no time, no world, no people. it was so bad, i was in shock when the world was back to normal the next day.this experience got me thinking about death, and that most likely it's just nothing after we die.
what's everyones idea/opinion on this, it seems no-one ever talks about it (friends anyway)

I always have this very exact same thoughts....really freaks me out.But once i realize its not like that, i get this really happy Joy out of nowhere, and know there more to life than meets the eye.

Futile attempt to justify life and to control mass hysteria. If people accepted the fact that there was nothing, existance would seem that much more pointless and life would be lived out in a much more depressing way.

Unless you've already died, you can't be sure of what death is like. Some people are optimistic ("religious people") and some people are pessimistic (I'll just call them "the others" and not mind about labels). Just face it.

Claiming you're the right one is just as pointless and negative as the religious people who claim they're the right ones.

I'm a pessimist and I like to bring people down with me, damn it! :p

Oh, I see :p

Well, in that case becoming a non-practicant religious sounds more like a pessimist view of after-life: instead of nothing, you'd spend your days in hell while others go to heaven... AND you could claim hell is purely nothing - you can't get more pessimistic than that ;)
