ok i just got home. only 2 hrs and 22 mins! not bad since i live in Northen LA. Right now i can't sleep since i'm hopped up on No Doz and French Vanilla Cappacino. :p Tonite was amazing! We were upstairs next to the DJ stand...perfect view for Tiesto. The guy that played before Tiesto sucked, hardcore. He went from house to Dnb...not even smooth transition. But it wasn't that bad, we did get free drinks! Alot of people there. I mean that place was packed!!! It was great though, awesome nite. Oh and thanks to SweetCandy Girl i got this:

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

You rock! Thanks alot.

It was great to see the TA's again. I need to go to Woody's club when it opens!

WOW!!! OMG WOW!!

Tiesto was AMAZING last night! He brought his A-game to San Diego last night. I was smiling ear to ear and dancing for his entire set. There where a few tracks in his set that all most brought me to tears! Such a beautiful powerful set!!! :)Tiesto Proved to the crowd why he was #1 DJ in the world 3rd year running. His Mixing was flawless and his Track secletion was perfect! :D He had the whole club going and that place was PACKED!!! I am glad I was not down stairs! It looked like you could not even see from down there. Anyways When he droped "Leathal Indstry" I all most lost it! I have not heard Tiesto play that Track since Nov 2002 when I first saw him! It brought me back to that day! *dance* He also played "Just Be" WHOOO HOOOOO!!!

WOW Guys I can not wait untill new years now. Last night we got 3 wonderful hours... in 3 weeks we get 6!! :):):):eyes: :eyes: :eyes:

Now here is my little Rant:
The opening Dj for Tiesto $ergio SUCKED SUCKED SUCKED SUCKED. I do not know what the hell he was doing up there! He played everything from Cheesey house to really bad D&B. It was Awfule. His Tracks sounded all the same!.. It made that wait for Tiesto Soo much longer! The best part of his set is when he ended!!!!

I would also give my left nut... Shoot both my nuts if I had them to the little blond that was inside the Dj booth talking to Tiesto most of the night!!!:stongue:

Woody, Kittykrush, Orbital, CND, Edwin... It was so Great hanging out with you last night! Thanks Orbital for driving.. I got all most 4 hours of sleep.. All most :)
Was it worth it... HELLLLLLL YA! Would I do it again! In a Second!

Fun time for all last night. Nice seeing everybody. Glad you all got home safe.

I was downstairs most of the night. Man it was packed. It was impossible to get on the dancefloor! You could not see as well but the sound was much better.

It sucks being at work this morning. Clients are asking me questions and I am like "Ah, what"?

Now time for my review....

On the scale from 1 to 10, Tiesto was more like a 6 borderline 7. Contrary to SweetCandy Girl's "flawless mixing," Tiesto ed up his first two mixes then several other times throughout the night. Come on, on the first song he stopped the CD Player by mistake! :eyes: Then later on the night, he took out the record while it was playing. :eyes: Now, that's scanless! And I know there's some TA's that can back me up on this cuz we were talking about it!

His first two hours were pretty boring. He was putting no effort into his set. He would play a song, take his headphones off and then go talk to the girls on the DJ booth. Then he would realize he was DJing and go back to play the next track right before it ends and then go back to talk to the girls. Tiesto played some breaks too! Which BTW, I love breaks, but the ones he played were wack! Highlight tracks of the first two hours... Mindcircus by Way Out West, and Just Be.

Then he dropped a Markus Schulz song, which he used to transition to TECHNO! :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyes: I LOVE TECHNO... and the artist he transitioned to was no other then the Techno master himself... MAURO PICOTTO!!!!! Now, that was when the room screamed and went off!!!! That was the only time you saw me jump during his entire show. BTW, he did a really bad trainwreck on this transition. It was a hard transition going from Markus to Mauro! :whip: OMG... The crowd went insane... That was the only build up I saw him do the whole night. Serious, he wasn't even paying attention to the crowd. It was not the Tiesto I'm used to. This was a drunk Tiesto! So that was the beginning of his 3rd hour. San Diego was a Techno crowd. It seemed like when Tiesto played techno, that was the only time the room would go completely insane!

Then almost towards the end he dropped LETHAL INDUSTRY. This was a new remix of it and OMG, IT was amazing! He finally started getting the crowd to interact with him. Besides the Mauro track, this was another track that had the room going insane! Then before you know it, he stopped playing around 2:30 and the other DJ Took over.

Through out the night I kept talking to people around me, and just when I thought I wasn't the only one feeling him, they would prove me wrong. I talked to at least 3 people that said they were not feeling. And these people are hardcore Tiesto fans. They even mentioned how he better be way better for NYE. Seriously, Tiesto could've been a lot better last night.

***Michelle*** I know you probably didnt like my review, but I'm just being honest and unbiased! Sorry if I hurt your feelings but it's just what I felt of him last night!

I'm so tired right now, my eyes are hurting still. I didn't get to sleep until 5:30 and it's now noon. (I know, i'm lazy).

This dude, tried to CHOKE my girl... like wtf :conf: relax bro.

anyways.. I had a LOT of fun but I thought it was too packed to have a lot more fun. It was CROWDED. I was down on the dance floor and could barely move. :(

I thought tiesto's set was kinda boring as well. It was pretty good but I mean, I've heard better and I did notice, like the previous poster, that he seemed a touch careless.

Anyways, I still had fun.. that's what counts, right?

Ooch. Seems like his focus just wasn't there. Luckily, here in SF, he paid most of his attention to the crowd. Yeah, he would turn around and say a word or two to the people behind him, but never for more than a few seconds at a time before he got back to working the decks. And it was usually to like the promoters or people working RS. Oddly, with the stage being 90% women, he never really talked to them.

I actually went into the night here not expecting anything great after his horrible performance (mixing and track selection) at the first Tiesto in Concert in October. I was ready for lazy mixing, etc. But, to my surprise, he came out firing, interacting with the crowd, throwing his arms up in the air, jumping around, etc with the crowd.

And his mixing was probably the best I've heard since his popular Ibiza set from last July. Probably my favorite set from him in 2003/2004...you can get it here:

01-dj_tiesto-live_from_amnesia_ibiza_p1_29-07-2003
02-dj_tiesto-live_from_amnesia_ibiza_p2_29-07-2003

Seems like I'm not the only one who left very happy. Many skeptics I know came away pleased with the night.

But again, I say, his set here for the first 90 minutes was strikingly like Markus Schulz. His progression through the night was excellent here.
