Maybe they're not aware. Do they deserve to die because of it??

And all you can go by is facts, I haven't heard of cases where people have died from Starbucks, but I have for Redbull.

Because people tend to power drink red bull and they dont when it comes to coffee. Who do you know who has consumed 5 coffees in an hour?

Just because someone cant read a label doesnt mean that everyone else should suffer.

This is to Jayx1 also: The government has a responsibility to protect the consumers from dangerous products on the market. I wonder how your arguments would change if your younger sister, without knowing what she's doing, overconsumed something potentially dangerous (be it Redbull or whatever) and dropped dead from a heart attack. Would you still be complaining about your freedom? I would hope not!

The bottom line is that while the governments motivation to ban this is not concern for our health as much as it is political, the end result is that something that possibly causes DEATH is taken off the market. This can only be good.

So while you may want the freedom to do whatever possibly destructive things you want, that really is a selfish way of looking at it.

Well said jdjd but all you'll get from some people here is :" ..well then they should ban this or that & the other thing..."Bottom line is that the greater good/health of a society is more important & if it takes the government to intervene then so be it.

So in essence, what you're saying is that if people aren't resonsible enough to properly use dangerous products on the market, then em they deserve to die, I want my freedom to have it. Right? Would you have that same attitude if it was your mother that died from it?

Yes. If people are too dumb to follow clear instuctions then they deserve what they get. What if your mother were stupid enough to stick her hand in a light socket and died? Should we ban electricity?

Sounds like the right idea to me. The label CLEARLY states not to drink more than 1 or 2 cans in a DAY. The same way someone couldn't sue a chocolate bar company if they had an allergic reaction to the peanuts the label clearly states are in the bar. Anyone suffering an adverse reaction from drinking more than 2 Red Bulls, it's their own damn fault.

I read the labels on the products I buy, why the hell should I suffer because some moron is incapable of doing the same, and has a stomache ache after drinking 5 Red Bulls in an hour?

Dude i had my own bad reaction from it and im not advocating banning it. I think that speaks volumes for my position on things and my lack of hypocrisy.

Of course I'd be emotional, but you know what? She should have read the label. I wouldn't be running around demanding a ban, the warning is there, in plain english, and my mom is smart, she reads the labels, so if she drank 5 in a row, it would be her own damn fault.
