Yep. The name of the forum is just a name, nothing else. There is no TA Law which states that "Only trance and it's respective subgenres shall be discussed." ASOT, whether we love it or hate it, will be discussed along with all other forms of EDM. |

That TA doesn't exclude anyone includes the risk of bumping into people whose tastes you think are . Of course, that's no reason to tell these people to off, and if it bothers you so much there are other forums where you won't have to deal with these people.

I never said or claimed that TA was ASOT-only, or especially made for ASOT-fans. Hell no, it would be a sad place if they reigned here...
But its name is still TranceAddict, that indicates to me that there should be at least a reasonable focus on Trance music, no? And ASOT - even though I also agree that it pretty much sucks and is highly overrated - still is about trance, just like this community. So does it seem fair to want to exclude them from these boards?
If anyone should get out of here, it's him, being a minority as a trance-hater, instead of the vast majority of trance-lovers on here. And which one of those "categories" belongs on here the most? I mean, what would be left of TranceAddict when it's only populated by people who look down on trance and get noxious when they hear it??
His claim would be almost the same as immigrating to a new country, and then saying to the native inhabitants: " off, I think you're all brainless monkeys, get the hell out of this country!!". :conf: |

oo another Airbase thread 8)
I first heard Airbase 5 years ago or something. The problem back then was that he suffered of heavy idolproblems. His sound was like Ferry Corstens but much more plastic and simple.
He also tried copying Vicent De Moors sound but IMO without any luck. During the last years he's kept his plastic sound and honestly he's never sounded specially professional. The melodies and the themes are good but its no use when the sound is so weak.
Ironicly he is quitting trance music just when he released a good song for the first time (One Man Army - The Anthem)
Anyway this is no loss for trance music and let's hope he makes a better success in whatever he is going into. |

To be honest, if people can still consider Tiesto #1 then that should make Airbase God :p
There are worse acts out there and while I was never overly impressed with Airbase, there are a few of his tracks that I enjoy. |
