I cant handle the malls on a regular day, let alone boxing day. I get too stressed out with people. |
I guess im strange then, bc i never find hordes of ppl that annoying at all...
ppl always esp. bitch around the christmas time at the malls, but i just find nice to see so many ppl out and about...
certain small stores (particular Radio Shacks in malls) can be bad based on their small size, but generallly, its never bad enough to warrent me complaining or to find it irritating....
i think alot of it also has to do w/ ur mind frame, if ur anticipating a load of ppl and think negatively of that, then it'll of course bug u more...
i guess i just never let it affect like most others do |

| Its not boxing day as much as its malls in general any time of the year...Sometimes I can handle it, other times I want to kill people. Its almost like all common sense gets chucked at the door before entering :| |

| Got some awesome stuff at Stars and Tip Top Tailors earlier for reaaaaaaally really cheap, which rocks my socks... I'm retarded and am probably going to go out again in an hour or so :D |

Who over age 19 hangs around a mall, anyway? Future Shop and Best Buy stores are NEVER in malls. Neither are Staples or Canadian Tire but their deals are e. And while I do plan on getting some new clothes later in the week, I'm probably going to go to the independent stores, or maybe that gigantic outdoor mall in Woodbridge where all the stores are separate. |

| I'd rather pay more money for something that took me only 10 minutes to find in a store than wait in line, push thru crowds and dig thru piles of mess to save 100 bucks. Could explain why I am broke. ;) My time is worth too much to be clipping coupons and spending all day in a crowded mall in hopes to save a buck. But I don't really enjoy shopping at the best of times so it is no surprise that I keep my distance from the holiday sales. |

wells the Best Buy at Markville and STC are part of the mall. but i believe ur referring to the Future SHop's and Best Buy's located at Power Centres like in Woodbridge and Markham ..
i browsed thru the Best Buy flyer and saw a decent home threatre that i wouldn't hav mind picking up .. but then again if i'm gonna spend over $100 on something i'd really wanna do the research on what i'm getting beforehand unless the item listed is something u wanted from the start then that's just a bonus.
after the fiasco last winter where i had to plow thru a crowd of people at FutureSHop that were raiding one of the camera booths like they were at a UN food aid depot just to get my Pentax cam, i've concluded that i'll only order their items online on a day like this.

Okay, my mistake, maybe some of those stores are in malls. I haven't been to Markville or STC (what is STC?).
Which FS did you go to last year? I would have loved to order online but unfortunately everything I wanted was sold out online. :p And in most of the downtown/North York stores. That's where all the madness seems to be. People should realize that locations which are convenient for them are probably convenient for many other people; you have to go to the inconvenient locations to avoid the crowds. :p
Christina: whether you're hanging around or walking through, the point is that most boxing day sales are not in malls to begin with! ;)

everything is closed in halifax. boxing day is tomorrow. Nova Scotia is the only province I believe where it's against the law to be open for business on a Sunday, except for restaurants and bars.
We had a stroll yesterday and absolutely everything was closed, not even tim's was open. very silent. It was actually nice. |
That would seriously get on my nerves. On my day off i want to do stuff, not sit at home and be forced to watch televangilists. |

stc = scarb. town centre
and ya most malls just "claim" to have massive sales when really all they do is hike all the prices up before christmas, then once boxing day comes they just put them back down to what they originally are
I hate malls |
