Can you be any more vague about what kind of books you may be interested in?

I'll recommend a long one that's gotten horrid reviews:

I am Charlotte Simmons by Wolfe, Tom:

Dupont University--the Olympian halls of learning housing the cream of America's youth, the roseate Gothic spires and manicured lawns suffused with tradition . . . Or so it appears to beautiful, brilliant Charlotte Simmons, a sheltered freshman from North Carolina. But Charlotte soon learns, to her mounting dismay, that for the uppercrust coeds of Dupont, sex, Cool, and kegs trump academic achievement every time.

As Charlotte encounters Dupont's privileged elite--her roommate, Beverly, a fleshy, Groton-educated Brahmin in lusty pursuit of lacrosse players; Jojo Johanssen, the only white starting player on Dupont's godlike basketball team, whose position is threatened by a hotshot black freshman from the projects; the Young Turk of Saint Ray fraternity, Hoyt Thorpe, whose heady sense of entitlement and social domination is clinched by his accidental brawl with a bodyguard for the governor of California; and Adam Geller, one of the Millennial Mutants who run the university's "independent" newspaper and who consider themselves the last bastion of intellectual endeavor on the sex-crazed, jock-obsessed campus--she gains a new, revelatory sense of her own power, that of her difference and of her very innocence, but little does she realize that she will act as a catalyst in all of their lives.

With his signature eye for detail, Tom Wolfe draws on extensive observation of campuses across the country to immortalize college life in the '00s. I Am Charlotte Simmons is the much-anticipated triumph of America's master chronicler.

I'm not a big fan of series. But I'm clueless about Stephen King.

He happens to be my fav. writer.

And since my series hasn't been getting much feedback lately, I'm thinking of ending it to pursue other interests.

All fiction, all written by me, a continuing series.

Click on the right links where it says "SEASONS."

I'll try reading that. Sounds interesting. But the thing is I don't want to read so much from the screen. Might print some of your stuff though, if that's okay with you.

Months? 1500 pages isn't that much, well, depending on the dimensions of the book.

I'm looking for something new to read. Since I have the time I was considering reading about different authors to the ones I mostly read. Those authors are for the most part from Spain: Unamuno, Baroja, Machado, Galdos, Valle-Inclán, Azorín, etc.

So to be clear, I'm looking for any thing, excluding porn related material of course and books about cooking.

I apologize if I'm vague. But thanks to everyone for the suggestions.

That's no problem. Just don't try to claim the work as your own. :p :whip:

Oh, let you be warned now. It is pretty violent. May not want to eat before reading it. :nervous:

That website needs updating, though.

I don't have access to it (some other buds of mine made the site and run it) so that website is about 2 or 3 stories behind.

Check amazon.com and search for these authors you mention.
They'll suggest similar authors and subjects.

If you want to read an awesome collection of books, go look for anything by Chuck Palahniuk. (He wrote "Fight Club", which was actually an attempt to piss off a publisher who wouldn't publish one of his other stories. The plan backfired and the story became one of his most well known works.)

I'm currently reading "Choke".

Good call, I just finished Survivor which was also awesome.

Best book ever tho: 'Breakfast of Champions' by Kurt Vonnegut.

I wasn't that clear. I'm not looking for similar authors. I'm just looking for something new. Like the stories of DarkAngel, that's something new to me or one book by Stephen King.
