I know Ikon sell sticks inside but just not that nite. I'm flipping here because GK NYC says glowsticks are allowed that nite in Ikon, I'm sure you have read it that post. If they have said sticks aren't allowed then thats fine. Just don't say they allow it and then not at the door. I'm here trying to make an opinion that I won't be going to any more Ikon/GK events, I didn't tell everyone not to go and everyone is jumpin on me wtf is this. Do you all work for GK or something? |

just want to make a remark that I've met some TAs and I'm cool with all of them. you can ask around with the ones that know me. I'm just an ass right now cause I felt offended with some of the necessary posts time after time thats all. |

| ok now the whole issue with the sticks... i had seriously 8 sticks on me an even took it out showed the bouncer he asked me where did i get them i told him where and just let me through no problems and a few others i know that they had stix didn t have a prob of gettin them in so i dunno.... |

I had 8 sticks on me as well. 4 of them digital...had no problem after showing them to bouncer. |

I could care less what this topic's gist is. It's the fact that you decided to post an entirely new topic about something that's already ongoingly discussed.
I'm a more respected forum member than you are, is who I am. I don't have control over who makes new entries but I do make myself heard in those topics. After all, it seems as though your reply is hypocritical in questioning me over my ability to post on these free forums. If you try to back your reasoning up with what I just stated, you're obviously missing the point that I tried to get through in my first post in this topic.
Why ask questions you already know the answer to? And you don't have to be a board admin to keep tab of the forum that you constantly visit and post in. Why clutter the TA forums with repeat topics and TA's that think that they're above others (especially when it comes to opinions, as is seen with this topic)?

Oh yeah... And you should be able to identify sarcassm before you go and post on a forum as big as TA's, as originally stated by Sal. |

FINALLY some other people who had the same problem as me with the sticks! i have some serious bad luck...they were lettin people in with sticks until it was MY turn to go in! a promoter came right up to the bouncer and said "confiscate all glowsticks if you see them" :whip: i had to leave the line and sneak back in with sticks, how whack is that...
to those of you that dont think it's a big deal then you have never seen the true art of glowsticks. later on in the night we busted out a circle in the back and it was BUMPIN! we had half the club lookin at us do our thing and they LOVED it. we got so much love for our glowstick skills, it turned all that bad that night into good :toocool: maybe sometime in the future you will see some of us at a party do our thing and we'll change your minds. until then clubs should be concerned with people bringing in WEAPONS not glowsticks :rolleyes: |

I'm glad you were able to sneak in your glowsticks. Kudos to you for quick thinking.
As with the true art of glowsticks, it is fun to watch you guys bust out and do your thing. HOWEVER, the main reason why many of us go to these events is to appreciate the music, not the art of glowsticks. That's why many of us think having glowsticks confiscated should not ruin your entire night right off the bat. |

lol dont get me wrong man...i'm not saying glowsticks are the be all and end all of goin out and listening to trance music. it is ALL about the music for us glowstickers too... we cant move without a good beat :toothless
however glowsticks are looked down upon for all the wrong reasons. i can understand a club not wanting STRINGS because they can cause injuries, but glowsticks are nothing but fun and should not be confiscated by customers who PAY to go somewhere. there are also a lot of e-tarded out people who dont know how to use the sticks...people stereotype and dont realize there are so many crazy moves that can be done with sticks to work up a crowd :eyes:
we just want to spread the knowledge and inspire, not receive hate especially from promoters. we are providing FREE entertainment for them, we should be getting lots of LOVE if anything :confused: |
