Keep it up bro, you've gotten over the most difficult phase of quitting which is the inital 3 day hump where most people break down and give in to the craving. After about 2 weeks, the body has already gone through the withdrawls and is now beginning to cope without nicotine. Now you gotta watch out for any triggers that might cause you to wanna light up again. Also make sure you avoid situations where you would otherwise think of smoking.

I'm at 5 days and there are times that i'm still fiending for a smoke. It's tough, but if you've got the willpower, i don't think there is any feeling better then kicking the butt.

Oh, and ignore LKD -- he's envious cause he's a weakass nicotine addict who knows he can't QUIT ! :p

( yea -- that was a challenge to prove me wrong mofo )

Not crap on your party, but 5 days doesn't mean the person "quit". 5 days means nothing. Hell, unless he hasn't had a cigarette for more than a month, he hasn't quit yet.

Best of luck to ya Graham!

Actually, even a month don't really mean ...

You gotta wake up everyday and say that you're not going to smoke that day...and take every day for what it is.

It's the same for anything you're looking to quit. There is no fixed date after which you can say you're over it. It's something you gotta wake up and say to yourself so you can make it through the day without oding whatever it is you want to quit.
