I didn't say they made tracks like Ferry Corsten. And there's no such thing as Electro-Trance. |

All electronic dance music sounds the same to people who arent all over it.
But yet we split it up into a bakakillion different genres, and argue over it.
Anyways, I would call it electro...really poor electro. For me electro seems to be in a bit of a slump right now, but ladytron is coming out with a new album very soon, and I think I am Robot and Proud is aswell (if you call him electro) |

Man where do you get these ideas from.
So let's say you're on your computer one day just surfin the internet bored out of your mind. And hey you come up with an idea out of nowhere... "is Ferry Corsten - Punk progressive?". And while i'm at it, i'll ask the ta forum members, and then they would all argue and start flaming each other. Muahahah! excellent plan!
And no, none of Ferry Corstens productions are progressive at all. And it's hard to say what genre he is, bc he's kinda diverse on trying out new stuff. But i will have to say something in the lines of trance is more like it. |

If "He's just using old ideas and selling it to his ignorant fans", then wouldn't there be similar productions from others to back up the statement? Or perhaps you're just repeating a stock phrase without really thinking it out.
As for electro-trance, I know. I made it up, just like American Progressive, to describe a certain sound. No one is obligated to share my insane subgenre madness. :p |

I would say that Needlejuice has a progressive feel to it, but that's about it. |

Yeah, practically every track they make. They're electroclash artists. Punk and Rock Your Body sound like electroclash. Listen to Silver Screen Shower Scene or something. |

So let me get this straight, Ferry would have to invent Electroclash in addition to mashing it with trance to get past the level of worthless for you? How narrow. |

No. I pointed out that Ferry isn't being progressive. He'd have to have new ideas for that to happen. He didn't mash eledctroclash with trance. He made electroclash. Bad electroclash. |

Right, because Punk, Right of Way, and his Flashover remixes are electroclash. Give me a break. The only other artist who's ventured into the territory Ferry is right now is Tomcraft.
PS - Don't turn this into an anti-anthem/epic argument or I'll see that you've completely missed the point. |
