All I have to say is "Wow". I thought I had the most fun last week, but this week took the cake. It was awesome to hang out again and have a chance to play some tracks for the crowd. The night went like this:

1. Marcel gets the "Dancing Hotties" award for the night. He was playing some Housey tracks and started putting on some Latin House that would give Matthias goosebumps in his 400 dollar Versace shirt (LOL), when this group of really good-looking ladies started dancing in a group. Needless to say, I was happy.

2. Andres and Matthias tagged for a bit after Marcel and started getting the crowd pumped by playing some REALLY good tracks. Andres kept bullting that he couldn't get used to the mixer, but he adjusted to it better than I did and well, Matthias is Matthias. Good set.

3. Travis, Packer and myself tagged for an hour. I dropped Robert Gitelman - Children Of The Sun first and even after Matthias told me I was running out of time on his track...I still couldn't phrase it right!!! After that I dropped Jason Nevins(Yeah, he sucks I know that) - Heaven (Three Drives Instrumental...they don't suck)and saw more people dancing. It seemed like people were digging it, but it was cool seeing the other DJs enjoying it. It was a fun set.

4. Matthias came back on after us and kept the energy up with some banging tunes. I wish I could have stayed, but had to get a bit of sleep for my day of work today.

Thanks for coming out Edie, and big props to Marcel, Andres, and Matthias for their work. I had the best time yet and look forward to coming back.

Yeah it was quite a night!

It seemed to work out better when we changed the time slots according to our music. Everyone played really good music I thought and kept the energy going through the night, there were a bunch of hotties, I agree, your julio ass needed to do some number-getting :tongue2

It was definitely a challenge to use that mixer (Rane MP/XP 2016), but like Dave said, by the end of the night you begin getting used to it and being able to mix a little faster. I made a few -ups yesterday, not sure whether it was the mixing with new gear or the alcohol, from hitting the pitch slider during a mix to hitting eject on the freakin' song playing, but oh well, it was one of the very last tracks before closing and people kept dancing! They say every DJ s up like that at least once, so last night was my night apparently. Gonna lay off the vodka next time around :wtf:

It was a blast tagging with everyone, great DJs, great music, great night. Great meeting you Edie, hope you liked the tracks! Hope to see you guys this Friday at Planeta in San Antonio, even though some are against the club, it's still quite an opportunity to see Jes singing LIVE and Deepsky doing a live PA set... not many chances like that... and you'll be supporting fellow TAs too! Next Saturday at Eternal as well!! Thanks everyone for coming out.

True about not linking the place, but supporting the boys makes me forgive the fact I don't like Planeta. I can head out there if I have funds in order.

HAHAHAHA I definitely should have gotten some numbers : )

Pete, this wishful thinking bull isn't going to get you any piece of my ass so kindly castrate yourself with some rusty hedgecutters.

Last night rocked. Took a load of pics, good company, good choons, wicked club, had a great time! Good seeing you Edie, and meeting your man (seemed like a top bloke), great to see you again after so long Andres. Dispite the trouble with the equipment, you and Matthias played some really enjoyable tunes, which made for an awesome tag set. Matt, sorry you had to go through the trouble of going all the way back to Houston at one point, I can't begin to imagine how frustrated that would have been :/ you in tore it up as usual.

Can't wait for next week...

Time to post some pics!

I took pics of everyone at the decks. Give Packer's lazy ass some motivation to put it up, bastard.
Matthias
goddamn..closed the window after typing a long as post:mad: well Ill sum it up and retype it tomorrow with what I played.

Had a good time at Gabriel and Dresden, and hanging out with everyone who came to Eternal saturday night. Sorry about not getting around to the Hello track. I wanted to play it along with a few others, ah well. Originally thought I would be playing from midnight until closing, but I had no problem with the line-up changes and I had a blast tagging with Chroma...I think that mixer took alot of us by surprise as that Rane turned out being way different even from the one they have at Riches/2401...best sounding mixer I have ever played on though, never knew Tell me Why and Namistai went off that hard. :)

Gotta get a nap before work, post the rest later.
