| I dont know how to word this, but thers something about unflawless mixing that sounds better to me. If i were to goto a club, and hear flawless mixing, i would feel as if someone were just using a computer to mix the tracks for me. I like it when the DJ does some out of the normal things, like play backwards, or do some scratching, or something. This is why i like dave clarke, his mixing style is very personal and "dirty". I dont know if you guys know what I mean? |

I want some human sounds, some small portions in which the tracks are offbeat |
so you want people to... not be good...
on purpose? |

ha, you said dave clarke sucks at mixing.
to a certain extent I accept it, but I do prefer flawless mixing. both beat matching and harmonic mixing... |

You may like some of Paul Oakenfolds recent sets. :D
I know what you mean though. But no, not really, I prefer to have the beats on and in sync. However I do enjoy DJ's that can incorporate scratching or some form of a 'live' remix into the set. but the beats should always be sync'd IMO. |

| i dont want the DJ to SUCK, and maybe i dont want the beats to be out of sync, but i want to hear the DJ and not the records sometimes, know what i mean? Maybe its just the genre of trance that doesnt really allow for this. |

| i know what you mean and i agree but to a much lesser extent. i dont like it when djs up, but i like it when they make it personal by doing things that not every dj does, even just pissing about with the eq and effects on the mixer or filters during a track, it just makes the performance come across more personally somehow. |

| I know what you mean. Djing should be fun and creative. Watching djs just move the faders up and down or left and right can be very boring. I give much props to djs that incorporate turntablism and the personal style in their sets. I think it gives the crowds a bang for their buck. Djs overlook the mixer and tables. Their instruments too that should be manipulated and ed with in every possible way. |

| i dont think many people on the dancefloor would appreciate a DJ who was mixing all over the shop & out of synch, perhaps it's the non-dancers that don't give a e where the beats are |

i think i understand what u mean. i will even use examples
dirty mixing - jonathan peters or me (hehe) tends to use alot of efx, looping , samples and everythign available to make tracks sound better than they do normally. But this tends to take away form your mixing, sometimes instead of making sure the track is 100 percent matched i would settle for 85 -90 percent and try to record a sample for it or loop to make it even more ed up. But becasue i could have been 85 percent sure it was bpm matched the track can go off a bit during the mix or maybe becasue i'm using efx or looping while mixing my attention is divided and it can go off abit
flawless mixing- chus and ceballos - i've heard them once and like alot of international dj they just playing record to record but mixing is very flawless, and it also creates a tremendously great vibe.
so that said it all about flawless mixing , dirty mixing is so ing fun but it should not be done too often or u can mess up the vibe or ruin the track. so maybe twice an hr is ok.
p.s is sux though nigga wanna make the ing track dirty all the time hehe lol. |

| I think you mean something like if you went to see a band, you don't want the songs to sound exactly like they do on the album track done in the studio, where everything sounds like it's been touched up to be 100% perfect with sound levels, etc. You want it to sound "live" with some extras thrown in so you know they're actually mixing, right? I can understand that, though I like it to sound almost at studio quality |

| I can only recall one time that a dj's mixing was so bad I walked away from the floor, but many times where they've tried to add something and it's enhanced the vibe no end, even if it wasn't absolutely perfect. |
