Apparantly in Europe Electronic Dance music is not as big as some sources would lead you to beleive.

They do have their more electronic music prone cities, but so does the U.S.

No. Go away.

Such hostility.

Judging from your previous posts in this forum you're trying to instigate some kind of argument here, but after witnessing your rampant displays of stupidity on a daily basis I think I'd rather walk away from this one.

Yes, walk away after calling me stupid. You're really mature, ya know that? :stongue:

ok .. this is probably going to be a first for me .. but i agree with the haters here .. i am a big armin fan and everything .. but in terms of scratching and the term "turntablizing" .. armin is not your man .. he is more of a production mastermind .. not "the man" behind the tables .. i say get some really good dNb dj or if you want to go top40, get some hip hop dj .. it would be pretty good to get that dj who spins in the background for outkast .. a top40 band that everyone can relate to .. he has some wicked scratches and beats when outkast plays live ..

They haven't been doing those things since the 80's and early 90's. It's evolved to a point at which useless tricks like that would get in the way of their skills while performing their set. These days it's just packing as many difficult tricks into your 6 minutes as possible, and this takes too much concentration to spin around, move the crossfader from under the leg, and have girls kiss you (a la Bad Boy Bill).

he didn't say you have to mix like that exactly to be a proper DJ

Who cares what Armin Van Buuren says.

AvB fans?
MAXIM obviously cares enough so they chose him to do the story,
and I think until we actually get to read the article it's bull you scratch masters are putting it down already, -1
Ory
He has never before showed off his scratching skills, so I think it's pretty safe to assume that he's a sucky choice for an article like that.

And I guess you read the article ?
Ory
Did you read my post? He doesn't scratch regularly, he's a bad choice just because of that.

Sheesh...
