| i couldn't be assed reading the inner threads but i don't think AvB would be the best person to teach scratching for EDM! i mean i don't think i've ever heard him scratch! They shoulda got someone else in, i hear all the time that Zabiela scratches pretty good, he woulda fitted the bill much better. Some dude i know that's a dj kinda tought me how to scratch, the crab, the helicopter, all the basic stuff. I wasn't to fond of it at first but the vinyl had a naked woman on it so i scratched away! |

Oh I read it, but since you haven't read the article you can't judge it. The name of the topic is: AvB teaching how to spin in Maxim.
To spin, not to scratch, although guy says that's what it's about also, I doubt it until we actually get to read it. |

I know my . I've seen pro 8 ball players and the only thing that seperates them from me is they have practised so much they are more consistent. Just because I don't play pool very often doesn't take anything away from my ability at it. |

i think i'll say whatever i want thank you. maybe if he incorporated some of these other skills besides just straight up beat matching...he would be unlike others. i'm not ragging on him just because it's armin and i don't like what he plays...i'm just saying i don't think i've ever heard him scratch or do any other turntable trickery in anything i've ever heard from him...so i don't think i'd want to take his advice on the topic...

i agree you don't have to do that stuff all the time...you're right. but i'm sorry i've got to laugh when you say armin's style is unique hehe... there is nothing unique about it...it's probably as basic as you get...but really, there is no point arguing about this because i don't care what you have to say and you don't care what i have to say... |
