Dunno why, but after reading that, all I heard was,
"Above all, its a Rover" :stongue: :stongue:
I'm tired
EDIT: to be honest, to me, it being black is a big selling point, I like to have all my gear match. |

Yeah, although pioneer has already claimed that the efx500 is still their dj unit. The 1000 is more geared twords producers.
By the way, you are aware that they are releasing a new version of the efx500 right? EFX500R
Its just a red version, but they are releasing it to show that they dont plan for the 500 to become obsolete. |

yup.
Not nearly as exciting as the 500r:p
I still say the efx500sw owns the efx500r
(sw was that translucent version)
BTW... I was expecting a 4 channel 909 or something...that thing kind of seems like a pioneer version of an allen and heath mixer (like a mesh of the 92, and 464...) |

WTF is that?:wtf:
I was also expecting a 4 channel 909, unless they have another mixer in the works. |

| with no efx or sampler it looks like it's going head to head with A&H. Who's going to be able to afford that beast plus efx1000 other than club installations? |

Heres the thing, pioneer is not known for extremely good sound quality, or reliability.
Allen and Heath are.
I dont know why they are trying to take on that market. If its guts are anything like the 600 it wont be extremely reliable.
As far as sound quality goes, I would hope they have improved it, seeing as they did with the efx1000.
I still think this is a poor move. |

| sound quality is the biggest gripe people have with the 600, so it would be suicide to try and compete in installations if they haven't improved that part of the design. 6 channels as well as sound quality, this thing is going to be expensive |

bah
i'd rather have my dnx1500 over that pioneer djm1000 any day
and it doesn't look like theyr'e trying to target the bedroom dj/producer market at all with that new mixer either seeing it has that slanted/club-rack ready design and no efx or sampler
and you're right, with average sound quality pioneer has no place in the club
for club installation, it's all about the cloud!
