Guys you heard it hear first. Ive been really trying to keep it a secret all these years on TA, but i guess its been let out the bag. Me and Diginut are in fact gay. Its not that im ashamed of my boy toy, im just afraid of the way people treat a minority. To all the girls i've had sex with, im sorry - but i was just using you to portray myself as a so called "whore" and hide the truth from everyone close to me. Please except my most sincere apologies.....

Yeah my buddy who studied in China told me the same thing actually ;). He also told me another meaning for it is "ruler". I think it was ruler...something about measurements or something.

None of the Asian people I know have ever had a problem figuring out it means life, though. I even had a girl approach me and comment that she liked my 'life' tattoo.

Are your friends Chinese or Japanese? There aren't many Japanese in Canada it seems. I know one Japanese person at school, and she's the daughter of my Japanese teacher... go figure. I know hundreds of Chinese people though.

I know quite a few Japanese people, one of my good friends growing up was Japanese (I dunno, maybe it's a Barrie thing). But yeah, most of the friends I'm talking about are Chinese or Korean.

Oh yeah, one of my mom's doctors is Japanese too!

Different areas, different demographics. But really, there aren't the same reasons for people to emigrate from Japan as there are from China or Korea.

If I got a Japanese tattoo, I'd prolly just get my name in Japanese. I did my name once out of glowtape in huge letters in my bedroom.

Guess, you've never been to Vancouver. There's plenty of Japanese, Korean and Chinese people all living on the west coast because it's the link to the Pacifc Rim.

Because the placement of the tattoo may have just as much meaning as the tat itself. Also, certain spots are good for if you don't want to ALWAYS be showing the tattoo.

So if you don't want to see your own tattoo yourself and you don't want others to see your own tattoo then whats the point of having a tattoo? I would assume that the person getting a tattoo would want to at least see their tattoo on a regular basis and/or show it off to others or at least have it visible.

I don't know how the placement of a tattoo could have just as much meaning as the tattoo itself? Like if someone gets a broken neck or broken back and then tattoos that area after with the words "survivor" or something is that what you mean by the placement of the tattoo being as important as the tattoo itself?

Hmmm i don't think i'd put it that way... Maybe Jenny's explanation is different though. To each their own i guess. I think the reason why the spot on your body is important is because every part of your body is different in the way it's shaped, or curved. If you look at Jenny's tattoo's the places she chose are great for the tattoos she has. The Soul tattoo is especially nice because it goes so well with the shape of her shoulder plate... i don't know, to me it's all about balancing curves and shapes. It really is an art :)

And yes i have a tattoo as well, though mine is on my ankle :p
