In my case Oracle is a step up from what we had, we had some in bottleg home made and it was so inefficient its ridiculous. In order to look up 1 invoice you have to search the vendor first get the vendor number, then search by vendor number then log out and back in just to look up the invoice. |

ooooh ouch, yeah than in that case Oracle would be better hahaha...well i am off to a 'Staff meeting' lol bunch of BS!!! but hey it will kill some time!! haha feel free to pm me to keep urself entertained if u get bored! lol |

See ya when you get back....I had a BS meeting earlier myself with IBM. Luckily it didnt take that long. I find it really hard not to stay awake for meetings unless the people I am meeting are actually interesting, which is rarely the case here. |

i'm baaaack lol haha one of our coworkers kept asking redundant questions!!! and we were all like STFU already!!! hahaha damn gov't, they make sooo many changes and they cannot make up their minds! but woo hoo atleast we have a backlog and atleast we know for sure that our jobs are stable!! hahahaha yay for the slowness of the Gov't.!!!! :tongue2 |

Don't get me wrong, it's one of the strongest databasing platforms out there. But when you OUTSOURCE your data structure (cough cough) and are 1.5yrs($55million) into the project only to realize that the OUTSOURCED retards basically screwed everything up, you resort to assigning the young fresh out of college MIS/IT kid to adjust, append, and reformulate data structures "just so you can get the numbers right". I'm pissed yea, but you know what, I'm gonna be just like the rest and say YOU PAY ME! Ok sorry for going off like corner whore on a rainy day!

We should start an Oracle Alliance! I sympathize with the way you feel! (i secretly curse it to hell) But in all honesty, even though this system is running like a gimp on wheels, it's supporting our whole Order Fulfillment System and Data Inventory Warehouse so I give it some sort of propz.

Yes...as a contractor, but still for the Gov't. i work for the DHS for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) but i am NOT a TSA screener :whip: i hate those fockers!!! lol
