I pick the eagles because Mcnabb is that much better than brady.
it would be fitting for him to be the first black QB to win a superbowl.

Doug Williams in Super Bowl 22 was the first black QB to win the Super Bowl.
that also happens to be the first super bowl I kinda remember seeing . I remember Doug and the redskins going crazy in the 2nd quarter scoring 35 unanswered points.
that was Eddies classic super bowl moment for today

ok..my bad
I thought I heard on CBS or FOX yesterday that no black QB had ever won the superbowl, which I found odd, but then I racked my brain and couldnt think of a historically stellar black QB..

either way, McNabb is my pick. and if I wanted to bother trying to find it, I would show why..I spent 5 minutes trying to find it, but couldnt.

what I think was his last year in college, in whatever bowl game he played in that year, he rushed for an incredible amount of yards and absolutely CRUSHED a middle linebacker moving in for a big hit on him. I dont watch college ball ever, but I was channel surfing and saw the hit, and had to watch. His play from that game impressed me so much that I chose then to make him a fave player of mine. Any QB that can be a leading rusher, pass for a few hundred yard and demolish linebackers deserves praise.

who also ended up being an excellent coach at Grambling (succeeding the great Eddie Robinson) .. this keeps up, and we could see another black head coach in the NFL .. i hear Doug is doing wonders over at Grambling .. then again, i don't follow Grambling football much ..

also the game when he did that awful split that got him injured .. ouch!

coincidentally, i remember my first super bowl being the giants vs the broncos, where phil simms had that almost flawless game against their secondaries ..

in updated news, philadelphia has learned that great tight end Chad Lewis, who scored two touchdowns in the championship game, will not be available, which is a big blow to their offense .. more will rest along the shoulders of l.j. smith to get those 5 to 7 yard receptions ..

I have to go with the Pats, great team defense and i have to say the more i watch Brady the more i believe he is the second coming of Joe Montana....guy is cool under pressure constantly .Corey Dillon will be the factor in this game and 2 weeks for belicheck and romeo crennel to game plan also a factor.

something else id like to add.

BRADY NEEDS A ING HAIRCUT!

New England. Depth on offense, and D# (yes, thats D#) that is experienced and will cause McNabb to throw at least 1 interception.

Love the Pats and only an idiot would pick against them right now. I can't think of one reason why the Patriots would lose. Chad Lewis is gone for the Eagles now too... good luck with having only Mitchell and Alligator-arm Pinkston to throw to... even if T.O. comes back, it won't be enough. I don't like to predict scores, but:
Patriots 31
Eagles 14

SUPERBOWL CHAMPS AGAIN IN 2 WEEKS!!!

heres a little feel good story I just heard on the radio on way to class
because of Chad Lewis injury, they just signed Jeff Thomason ( who hasnt played since 2002 I think) to be the backup tight end and on special teams.
he was at his job(forgot what it was) recieving phone calls and the Eagles call him and tell him he has 2 weeks to prepare to play in the super bowl.

Tied poll. Interesting. Patriots will win though.

I don't know why they signed another tight end. Chad Lewis is a pro bowl player, but LJ Smith is shadowed by Lewis and would start on most other teams. I think it will be a close game, and really can't decide who I think will win. Nonetheless, I'd put my money on the Eagles covering the spread at the least.

If the eagles are signing a TE now, i would assume TO's role in the game would be minimal if he were to return.
