I'm not trying to launch any personal attacks or directed at christianity, but Christianity has had a far more bloody history than any religion I can think of. Plus, ppls ignorance and misunderstanding of Islam is also quite annoying. I'm sick of hearing things like "Islam is an inherintly violent religion" or "Muslims are by their very nature barbarians" and things to that effect. Yes, it's true that currently the Muslim world has some seriousw problems. Every culture/religion/whatever has it's periods of decadance. So passing sweeping statements like "Islam is violent and intolerant" based on only cetain events and biased media coverage is pretty unfair. That's like attributing the decedance and the barbarism of the dark ages to christianity. (or the spanish inquisition or the spanish conquest of america) |

the average joe would tell you that non muslims are missing out and need to be submitted to Allah's word. The average Joe will tell you that you cannot be called an arab or "syrian" if you're not muslim and that you don't belong to that country...
how do I know that? because i was over there last month.

Because you generalize quite a bit and claim that they're all uncivilized barbarians. I've been to several muslim countries too (and lived in one for a while) so i'm not talking out of my ass here. The average joe is not as you described. |

| Lira, there is a difference between what a culture has left, to the actual effects the Muslum culture is having over in Spain or Portugal. I will talk about Spain, hence Ive been there... the Muslims, are, I dont want to sound harsh, but jeez, are sort of messing, bringing the country down... Currently. There's all this problems in France as well. There this fusion that DOES NOT work like it does in the America's. Europe is an old continent where each culture and ppl must live with their own. |

today a friends co-worker, who is muslim, started talking about that there's so many girls in montreal, and not enough men for them. He was dead serious, he started saying that these women have to be married and that polygamy is a good thing and how islam has the right answers for that problem bla blabla...
he wasn't joking around and was really serious about that.
like who the appointed you to solve this problem? is it really a problem you sick ?! |
