Right but the film was intially released in 2002 in Asia is what i'm saying. So i just don't think that it should be included on a 2004 Best-Of list...

at least it wouldnt be on mine i guess....

i don't think i even saw 10 "best" movies last year. ones i did enjoy though...

Garden State
Maria Full of Grace
Sideways
Farenheit 9/11

i don't go to the movies often because i don't really enjoy the hollywood blockbusters or the idiots who talk during a movie, so i prefer to see movies at the smaller indie theaters.

i still haven't seen Napoleon Dynamite but that one would probably make my list as well. :)
hadi burpee

aaah i forgot about maria full of grace, that was excellent
and about that post, i agree for the most part
i see movies at the local indie cinemas way more often than i see ones at the local cinemark chain megaplex
not cause i'm anti-corporation or anything...the local small ones just have better movies :p

totally agree. plus, i only go to the movies if i think i'm really going to like it. with the prices they charge for tickets it's hard to justify going to a movie i may not enjoy. also it's more worth it to me to just wait a few months to buy the DVD so i can watch it in the peace of my own home, rather than dealing with chatty morons who feel the need to blurt out the name of every actress just because they feel so cool that they recognized them (and i am NOT afraid to tell those people to kindly shut up).

...lemme see if i can think of a list...

Harry Potter & The Prisoner Of Azkaban
Garden State
Shrek 2
Ocean's 12

Eternal Sunshine
Troy
Garden State
Closer
Hero

and...
I Heart Huckabees <---what an amazing flick, I can't wait for it on dvd!
DjArTiN!
If "Meet The Fockers" came out in December instead of January, then that will probably be one of my favorites, with Lord Of The Rings.

i enjoy going to the theatre. its part of the experience sharing a movie with a group of stangers. kind of like going to a sports event, the game is only 1/2 the equation. although i avoid going to the ghetto cimema. ;)

Ripped Bag
1 Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
2 Hero
3 Lost In Translation
4 Lord of the Ring
5 Garden State
6 I <3 Huckabees
7 Napolean Dynamite
8 21 Grams

lemme think of the last two
Blue.
here's a bunch in no specific order that I enjoyed

Garden State
the Machinist
Sideways
the Motorcycle Diaries
the Aviator
Million Dollar Baby
Spanglish
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Troy
Finding Neverland
Spiderman 2
Dodgeball
Girl Next Door
