sine cause it's smoother and nicer to the ears.. however lately there's too many sine leads and it became a bit of a cliche. doesn't mean i don't like square or saw.. when used properly they are great
but i guess most tracks use the three of them, and even most synths use a combination of them |

| By the way... Perhaps someone could post examples of songs that perfectly describe these different synths for those who don't know, b/c I'm sure many are reading this thread thinking "wtf are those?" |

you dont have to have a VST to get the three basic synths |
