any TA been in jail before? share experiences

yeah thread thought up, as i was in the kitchen chatting to my ma, learnt that a few of my oldest friends that i havent seen in like 6+ years are in the winchester clink for some unknown reason (me thinks i should visit them and find out the beef) LOL
so i thought up of this, has anyone from TA been in the clink? what was it like? possible survival techniques etc |

jail is like... holding cells in police precincts or something along those lines, and prison is the big house, the penitentiaries |

Jail is where they send you for short term sentences, usually 2 years or less, though exceptions are common.
Prison is for longer sentences. Criminals convicted of extremely violent offenses (read, felonies are sent here first).
Ive been to jail, I havent been to prison. |

When I was 20, my mate's gf broke up with him on Saint Patrick's Day. I stopped over after it all happened and he was moping around the house, so I told him we should go to the bar. We went to this crazy punk bar that's in a basement (thats where he liked to go), and drank ALOT. He popped a vicodin, and we both smoked some pot. Needless to say, 1:30 came around, and we were both pretty hammered after pounding green beer for 6 hours.
On the way home, I saw this guitar laying against a fence, about a block from his house. When I'm drunk (and sober), I sometimes hit these destructive moods, so I picked the guitar up and swung it against the fence. It didn't break, so I swung it again. About 50 meters from us, there was a party going on and this guy runs towards us from it yelling, 'Hey you , that's my guitar'. I figure this guy is as wasted as we are so I just throw the guitar down (which was basically unharmed) and continue toward my mate's flat.
This guy decides to run at me and take a swing however. I see it coming and duck under the whole thing. My friend also saw it coming and took him down with one punch to the face. Someone was screaming about a knife, so I kicked our assailiant once or twice while my friend sat on his chest and punched him in the face. I fled the scene; my friend stayed a little longer in order to take out his cell phone and beat him in the face with it. When the battery came unclipped, he apparently calmly got up, clipped it back in and went home.
I met him there and we called the cops. We gave them, our story and he gave his. However, the party he came from turned out to be the wild card. His friends said they didnt know him and said we jumped him, smashed the guitar over his head and tried to stab him and rob him. They were all also overage and we were underage, so we got hauled off to jail. After sitting in count for about 12-15 hours, they hauled us off to the workhouse (aka jail). I got out roughly 26 hours after the incident, and had to make a 3 hour walk back to my flat (my parents bailed me out and I was somewhat scared to have them pick me up)
A forth party who knew us both told us that he eventually gave 100 dollars to the three people who provided affidavit's to the cops and spent the rest of the 1700 we had to pay him (for damages) on a new car's down payment. He quit making the payments and it got repoed though.

Are you thinking of Psy-T? I think he was on house arrest for awhile, because he went AWOL from the Israeli military (Their military service is required). |
