Dude that's sad...I don't go to look at cute DJ's...I go to listen to music, maybe that's why i don't enjoy HH as much as u do.
It's about the music...nothing else |
Kytracid is right, Dlux - there's no point in going to hear a specific DJ play if the only reason is 'cos they look pretty! If that is the case then it makes you no better than the scallies and beer boys who just go to an event because Super Star DJ XYZ is playing.
If your not going because you like the music that on offer then don’t bother going! |

I don't really enjoy HH that much, but i dont mind it when its slipped into a tech or trance set, then its alright. One particular track that I really like that isnt "air horns and whistles" is Mauro Picotto - Iguana(BK & Nick Sentience mix)... yum
Also, could someone clear up what the difference between "Hard House" and "UK Hard House" is?
(I'm under the impression that the UK hard house is the stupid e with the airhorns etc)
Cheers from sunny (just because it's freezing cold doesn't mean it can't be sunny!!) Edmonton, Alberta, Canada |

There is no difference between "UK Hard House" and "Hard House" - The types of HH you get are "Crappy Hoover / Horn / Whistle Cheesy Hard House" and "Well Produced and thought out Hard House" |

You guys think that I like hardhouse because of those chicks...
that's not true!
And you are talkin about that going to parties because of them, thats not true, I'm 13 years old so I can't go to parties like that.

I don't mind a little HardHouse, it can really get the crowd jumping like crazy and putting their hands in da air and feeling great :)
Not too much of it though, just a little.
My favorite HH song is: E-Wok - Go Back. |

Dude your 13 that's why you think HH is good. Listen to it for a few more years and you'll move onto something a bit more mature. Don't get me wrong i'm not flamming you. When I was 13 i was listening to vanilla ice and thought he was cool. ;) |

Well I don't know if you guys listen to LA or Chicago hardhouse...I listen to alot of it but its not bells and whistles let me tell you...its parallel with the "hardcore" genre of music and I love it, its very high energy.
I'm talking about DJ's like DJ Rip, George Centeno, Darren R., etc.
Far cry from Fergie or Lisa Lashes, thats what I just call UK hard house or Nu-NRg (they are very similar IMO).
I can't really talk about the UK Stuff but the US hard hosue will NEEEEEEEEEEEVER replace trance...its not even on the same wavelength. |

I've been listening to HH for years, from way back when it sounded like sped up, hard hitting chicago house. Some is cheesy, some isn't. Isn't it a little hypocritical for alot of trance fans to talk about cheesy music being bad? How many times have you heard a trance track and thought, "this is some cheesy "? But we all know not all trance is cheesy.
US Hard House is built on samples and sometimes comical melodies, while UK Hard House is based around the hoover sound. I like both. I don't think either is the "new trance" in terms of music, but I think in terms of popularity in a year or two you might start to see either form of HH start to gain popularity in places like Ibiza over trance. It's just the circle of life. Things get big, then they die out. Something else gets big, it dies out too.
I guess I like HH because it's a little like hard trance, my trance genre of choice. |
