Totally agree.
It's nothing wrong with some HH on the @ the local club, but it will NEVER replace trance. And Lisa Lashes is indeed gross. |

DANCING
I very much enjoy dancing to Drum and Bass, and Hardcore (~180 bpm), but that is because I dance to every SECOND beat NOT every single beat (that's just suicide). So I actually dance to DnB and Hardcore at about half speed (~90 bpm) with occasional short flourishes of full speed dancing. It's lots of fun! Therefore I find I can dance a lot longer and do a lot more when I dance to DnB/Hardcore at half speed (~90 bpm) than trance/house at full speed (~140 bpm). Sometimes when I'm tired and need a break from full speed dancing, I'll dance to trance/house at half speed (~70 bpm), but generally I just find that too slow.
TYPES OF HARD HOUSE
There ARE different types of Hard House. What I consider to be REAL Hard House is most of what American DJs like Bad Boy Bill*, Richard Humpty Vission*, DJ Irene* and others spin, because it's actually HARD HOUSE... I mean, It's JUST that. It's House music with distorted (gabber style) bass drums and is generally just harder than regular house. But it still has all the elements of REAL House music, like lots of vocals, soul and funk, etc.
But UK Hard House and NU-NRG isn't really even House music at all. It's actually more trancey than it is housey. It's more like REALLY cheesy hard trance. I could be wrong, but I am under the disctinct impression that NU-NRG (as it's called in North America) and Hard House (as it's called in the UK and Europe, ie. UK Hard House) is the SAME thing!! Both are VERY different from REAL American Hard House (LA and Chicago Hard House, etc.)
So there is a HUGE difference in the definition of Hard House in North America and Europe, so be careful which brand of Hard House you are talking about.
*I'm sure there are better examples of REAL American Hard House DJs than those three, but I don't listen to much of it, so those are the only ones I'm familiar with.

but it can't replace Trance........
Trance is endless and won't change for the worse but for the better
Trance will only get better and better.....although there has been some crazy classic tunes........but there are just as many new ones to compensate....... |

| No big fan of Hard House or UK Hard House but this thread seems to be filled with f.uckers who come on so damn bloody strong about categorizing other peeps music taste...with some f.uckers asking another to off idiot just because he agrees with an article is so passe, and blah blah blah. Throw in your views with some humble essence and you'll live perhaps a little longer, however if you do not wish to, then go kill yourself. |

you guys take music tooo seriously, and i thought i was bad...
i'm very open-minded, and i love all types of music that i can dance to... trance, house (be it hard house or whatever), jungle (mmm... jungle), or even some drum and bass, oh and breakbeat... *drool*
however, i've heard some speedcore and that's just noise... at that speed the bass can't even properly form before the next beat is in... and the funny thing is, is that i've seen people try to dance to it :) |

I love that stuff...I've even spun it for a little bit!
You can't compare hard house and trance, they are different music with a different scene altogether.

I'm a great fan of trance and hardhouse as well as techno and some other house styles but it's sad to see some of the reactions in this forum :sadgreen: .. most of you in here don't seem very open minded, and i thought the average trance fan's pretty open mindend :conf: .. maybe i'm wrong.. or maybe it's the trance scene that's going downwards because it's getting more of a hype by the day.. :rolleyes:
