You're a real ... Tommyboy and MacGuyver are the best trance related dj's that Philly has going right now, and I am happy to have something to go out and dance to once or twice a month without having to drive across 3 states.
Yes, you are entitled to you opinion, but I've seen your negative opinion numerous times and I would appreciate it if you would not discourage people from coming out and supporting what little of a trance scene we do have. You don't even live here anymore.

You like supporting music?? You like supporting parties where the emphasis is on things other than the music, like drugs and how cool you look?? Fine, but not on my watch.
Sorry, but as long as bad music is being promoted on these message boards, I must, as my God given duty states, discourage others from attending.
And don't give me this bull that TommyBoy and Macguyver are good people and everyone likes them and the remixed big name artists like John Tesh and blah blah blah. Yes, they are nice people; I personally know Tommy and dealt with Macguyver once on something I needed help on. I know they're nice...still doesn't mean they're good DJs, because they're far from it.
However, I WILL support GOOD MUSIC, and good trance when it DOES arrive in Philly. As of right now, I don't see that anywhere on a consistent basis... |

I support the trance scene in Philadelphia. My friends and I go out in jeans, sneakers, and t-shirts. We dress comfortable b/c we love to dance and that is why we are there. We also don't do drugs. At the party tonight all of the people who were there for the music left after Tommyboy's set b/c they were there to hear trance. I made the mistake of staying longer...

What do think is so bad? He has good mixing skills and he has a decent track selection. It is the best trance we have in philly right now and I don't think it is right to tell a kid who just turned 21 to stay at home instead of going to the only trance event in town. Let him form his own opinion, if anything he can meet other people who share the same music interests.
If you think Tommyboy is bad, you should have heard Jason E spin after him. Talk about watered down Loui Devito...

Exactly, how do you expect Philly to get good trance on a consistent basis if we don't build a trance scene? If we can build these monthly parties up, maybe promoters will look into bringing more big names in.
