The longest one I know is a bit borderline...
Crescendo - Are You Out There (Symphonic Variations) 19:55
Parts of it are definitely trance, but it's not trance for the entire 20-minute duration. An amazing tune anyway, although the 9-minute original mix may be enough instead. :p |

| Still no reply from the thread starter? Like i said, he probably had a set on his hands. Think about it, why have a 60 min track? You cant have same elements and melodies for 60 min. Therefore might as well have 6 different tracks, than 1 track which changes course every 10 minutes. Even if it did change every 10 min, wouldn't that still kinda make it a different track every time it changed? |

Brian Eno - Thursday Afternoon is a 61 minute track
Although it's more ambient trance, or ambient experimental.
Released in the mid-80s
More info on Brian here

Bah, I was just about to mention that. It's a good tune, as well. |

The Orb - Blue Room
65 Minutes originally.
It's quite old and very hard to track down therefore. I read about it in a book about electronic music, and don't know for sure if it can be classified as a trance track...

Well it wouldnt be hard to make a super extended mix of some tune
i could make a 6hr exten mix if anyone wants one :stongue:
Anyway i doubt there is a track 61 mins long maybe but unlikely, i think 20 min is probarbly around the longest. |

I think the track Reefer is referring to is Juno Reactor - Luciana, which he mentioned in the Juno Reactor thread. Which isn't trance by a long shot btw, but some sort of dark ambient.
Luciana

This is ambient as well. And the original is 40 minutes, not 65: http://www.discogs.com/release/13933 |

Well, while you all debate the falsity or truth of the 61 minute song, here are some other long ones: (;))
Apollo 440 - Liquid Cool (Space 360 degrees biostatic mix) 25 mins
Banco de Gaia - Kinjacou (Duck! Asteroid!) 36 mins
I think I spelled kinjacou completely wrong, but I can't be bothered to look it up right now! To hell with you! :whip: |
