I agree that his commercialism is getting to be a bit much, but I don't see how he is embarrassing himself.....I just don't see it |
Would you associate your music with Mickey Mouse?
People always ask "what would you do for a million dollars?" Obviously, the less money you have to begin with, the more crazy things you would be willing to do for the money. He's already got money and I know one thing... I wouldn't associate my life's work and passion with a ing cartoon mouse.
This has nothing to do with bashing Tiesto or starting up more of the same gay ass fueds this board is so accustomed to hosting. I would have the same opinion about any DJ, any artist, anyone at all.
He should use headphones with big fake mouse ears for the gig. |

It's associating yourself with a new space mountain adventure though not mickey mouse :haha: :stongue:
and even if it was mickey mouse...what's the big deal? lots of artists perform in events like that I don't see why they should lose credibility. |

I love these threads.
The same arguments being exchanged now for what??.....3 years now? I guess it was the first time Tiesto was proclaimed #1 in the 'world'. The diehard Tiesto fans cant seem to grasp the fact that a lot of people (at least in North America), dont quite agree with this claim. But where the humour comes in is where they treat Tiesto bashing as if you were poking fun at their birth mothers third nipple. I would normally say 'guys stop your bitching', but at the risk of losing an entertaining on going saga, im just going to sit back and enjoy the cheese - i mean.....show. |

When you think of "Disney" the first thing that comes to mind is Mickey Mouse, so there is no need for quibbling about magic mountain.
The fact that lots of artists perform in events like this doesn't mean there is no loss in credibility, it means there are more people who have lost it.
Linking his music with mice and little kids is a step in the wrong direction. Olympics good, Disney bad. Didn't Britney Spears do a show for Disney??? |

You are absolutely right.
I'm making a point about associating music with Disney and Tiesto fans come out of the woodowork like I have just cut down their tree. I wonder if these people would touch his hand and cry if here were on TRL??? |

There seems to be just as many Tiesto haters as Tiesto lovers.
So who cares. I don't understand why all the Tiesto haters continue to go into the Tiesto lover forums to raise a problem.
It's worse than the Firefox vs. Internet Explorer fanboys out there.
Can't we all just get along? We're doing exactly what the music was suppost to be against everyone, don't you understand and realize that?
I'm so sick of this bashing. Why can't you bashers just sit back and say, "No, I don't like him, and that's that"? But no, you have to go into every thread and start an uproar to prove a point ... to who? Some fans of the music and the artist that don't give a about the opinion of others?
I love Tiesto for his music and what he's doing for the industry. I also love most of the DJ's out there. There are some I don't, but I don't go raising hell in those threads just to get a reaction.
If you don't like Tiesto, then do us all a favor and fark off and stay out of the Tiesto threads. It's times like this that I wish this board was moderated a little better. Leniancy is good at times, but it backfires at others.
... whoa....got a little heated in that rant didn't I ;) Whoops. |

I actually like Tiesto. I'm not trying to bash him at all. I just don't like the decision he's made with Disney.
What is amazing is the slightest criticism, even from a fan, is equated to a knife cut from ear to ear. |
