omg great f0ckin nite...
before the party was adding a few names to the final guestlist/chatting with Jason before leaving the house. I was supposed to meet up Star and Jason and walk in around 10:30pm as to avoid the line. However, we ended up getting there late cuz we were picking up Drew's friends. So we got there almost at 11pm, and I ran into Star (who had been late also). Thankfully the line wasnt long at all when we got there, and it moved fairly quickly. The bouncers gave Drew a hard time (they didnt give him a bracelet/stamp cuz they accused him of lying about his height on his license (WTF?! and i thought that usualy they turn ppl away cuz of fakes/differnt person) I swear Spirit never FAILS to annoy me. And the stupid bouncer even paused for a long time looking at my license n looking at my face, i swear i almost said something but i decided to hold my tongue. LOL :D
guestlist was easy, yes it was there...and i didnt hear of anyone having problems (well except for Mike, and that was due to the stupid person in charge of the list - i swear if i had been doing it personally nothing would have happened, sorry about that Mike :() Jason was on when I stepped onto the main floor and his set flowed great, and i def liked his buildups as the night progressed.Very happy to hear all the positive comments from the TAS as well as others around me. Markus came on a bit late...first time hearing him but he definitely surprised me -- it was a lot harder than some of the recorded sets ive heard. Despite the fact that his set didnt flow at times, and the fact that he played some tracks that weren't as danceable, I still enjoyed it a lot.
Some of us (Jenn Liz Blitz and Alex) went upstairs after a bit, where we found Dan (partyhopper) and coincidentally Nu NRG was THERE also!! we first saw andrea ribeca (the bald one) so we ended up meeting them and taking pics. i got a single pic with Andrea though...what a jokester eh?
lols after that Jenn was gushing about the taller one (Giuseppe Ottaviani). Well he WAS pretty cute lol.
To sum up Markus, i thought he was great -- esp after tne end of Nu NRG's set when he started spinning harder. Rank 1 - Breathing (Breaks Remix) was def one of the highlights.
Nu NRG started, and it just seemed the WHOLE club exploded. OMG the energy was soo intense it was crazy. i dont think i stopped dancing until they finished. Arturo was onstage and i waved to him and he recognized me as a TA heh - I eventually motioned to Giuseppe to sign my hoodie and HE DID. OMG (Nu NRGs last NYC gig at ARC 08/23/03 holds special sentiment for me and Drew so I was THRILLED :D) I then showed him the pic we had taken earlier with him, and he smiled. Drew got Andrea's attention and pointed to his VANDIT shirt and he gave him the thumbs up sign. :)
Toward the end of the night we all headed upstairs, and somehow i found my way to the dj booth, where I ended up dancing next to Sveta and Maritzabel in the DJ Booth next to Markus. No better way to close out the night than to dance next to the DJ -- i was having soo much fun. It was funny at the end because his set ended and we were all kinda shy about asking him to take a pic wid us. Then Drew was like, "Cmon, lets take a Tranceaddict pic!" and i remembered that his wife goes on TA quite a bit so he WOULD know what TA was...he was very gracious about taking a group pic wid us -- there were about 10 of us i think (thank you so much Markus) and even winked and gave a few of us hugs at the end :tongue2 :tongue2 :tongue2 w00tw00t
Hey...i know DanAx took a group pic of Markus and the TAs...but who else has their camera, was it Sveta, I def want to see those pictures :D I WANT COPIES dammit! hehe
and great seeing/meeting everyone...Arturo great to see u and thanks for helping me take pics of Nu NRG on the stage :D

My boy jollins was ing fantastic........ Best set ive heard from him..... The lights in that club suck.... I thought i was gonna have a seizure from all the strobe lights...... The sound system was bass heavy but decent.... I left about 30min after markus came on. His stuff doesnt impress me its more or less cookie cutter dance music with the same generic sound... Dont get me wrong hes a great guy and all but lets face it all the music he plays sounds way to similar..... I was sander ing k'ed, cuzz thats where the real party was at also spirit had a crowd, it looked asthough all the gang banging asians from NYC showed up.. And im sure there was atleast 2 fights.... What ever happened to the P.L.U.R.
Also as always nice seeing jen, liz, alyssa, dru, Z, blitz, and everyone else....... You guys rock....
Also the brief moment i saw that crackhead lee......

ok.. so you are telling me to my face that I am a liar. I saw you in person, come up to my friend, who was directly in the middle, slightly back from the stage and tell him to put them away. And i saw you, (yes you), walk back up. I was definitely not imagining things. My friend will back me up on this... 2 bad he's not a TA or i'd tell him to post here..
i'm not trying to start beef or anything... just telling u what i saw.. |
