Dude - Markus was on before AND after Nu NRG.... The name of that tracklist was "Markus Schulz @ Spirit" and the reference to Nu Nrg was just to signify when they came on and played their set. Was the "Markus Schulz Intro Edit" on the next track not enough for you to tell that is was Markus playing those tracks??? Seriously, use some common sense. |

I'm sure I speak for many of us in that sometimes we're just looking for a "kick in da ass" after a long hard week at work or school or whatever...and that's exactly what Nu-NRG provided friday night. The vibe was great, and I could care less about the crowd as long as I danced my butt off...
I haven't seen a tracklist of any kind yet for Nu-NRG's set, so here are the tracks I remember in no particular order:
Nu-NRG - Eclisse
Active Sight - Tears of Joy (Nu-NRG live mix)
DJ Ton TB - Dream Machine (Nu NRG live mix)
Nu-NRG - Connective
Underworld - Born Slippy (Main riff mix)
Nu-Nrg - Atomo
Shane 54 - Vampire (Nu-NRg mix) ??
U2-Where the Streets have No Name (Nu-Nrg mix)
Nu-NRG - Butterfly (live mix)
Nu-NRG - Free Fall (live mix)
Nu-NRG - Natural Thinking
Nu-NRG vs. Jose Amnesia - Be Right Back
Nu-NRG - Dreamland (live mix)
Feel free to order the list properly or correct it....
Next Up = Miami ;) |

Appparently, I didn't get the memo about the new dance move that's sweepin the club scene... where u lock arms with your partner and twist around and around the club like a tornado, making sure the old lady whips everyone in the face with her magic-permed hair. :whip: |
Yeah, that was the biggest bummer of the night... so many old FOBs dancing like that. I dunno what happened... there were so many (much more than usual) old people there that night. I was so annoyed all night cause I kept getting elbowed and hair-whipped.
I had a great time regardless though... I was in front of the stage the whole night. I thought Markus's set was just alright... track selection was decent, but it didn't flow all that well. Nu-NRG was hot... just wished I could have heard Bonsai... |

Went in, checked our coats, hung out by the speaker for a bit, got pwned by Jollins, Schulz, and Nu-NRG, met some TA's, took lots of pix and video, and left. Good lord, my calves hurt today :D

definitely the best night of the year so far for me. I'm becoming more and more a fan of Spirit, especially after moving the booth upstairs. Got inside around 1:00 or so, Jason Jollins was just finishing up. Markus came on around 1:15 or so and opened or played very early pretty much my favorite track of last year...Tilt - The World Doesn't Know. Played a lot of his own productions and remixes, all that lighter trance stuff. I think NU NRG took the stage around 3 and repeated their 2003 show with another amazing live PA set. I heard Freefall, Connective, Butterfly, Their remix of Sunday afternoon and the rest is a blur. markus closed it out from 4-6:30 or so. He picked it up a bit towards the end, started playing some tough basslines and techy tracks.
Played Roland Klinkenberg vs James Holden - Bounce @ Nothing
Airwave - Breathing
Andain - Beautiful Things (His mix)
His mix of Satellite
Tilt - The World Doesn't Know
Elevation - Clear Blue
Roland Kolinkenberg - Monday Groove
Monday Groove (Perry O'neil Mix)
He didn't touch a TT the entire night which was a little dissapointing. I miss djs using vinyl...but he mixed flawlessly, so no real complaints. Security was cool as hell, barely noticed them. Awesome night all around. all for $15 too. Great Job Made. |
