Alfonso can wrap it up next week in Spa.
I love Spa, tis a great circuit but still pales into insignificance with the old circuit............ Always look forward to this race.
Quite a boring race I thought, shame cos Monza always seems to throw up something spectacular. |

Yeah, Alonso's got it in the bag now. Not a very eventful race, hopefully the new engine's next year will sort everything out. |

| quote: | MICHELIN MAY DROP FORMULA ONE SUPPORT.
Michelin says it may cede supply of Formula One racing
tires to rival Bridgestone Corp. as early as 2007 if F1’s
governing body decides to permit only one tire brand
beginning in 2008.
Both tiremakers supply the series now, with Michelin
predominating. The Federation Internationale de
l’Automobile says the idea of a single tire supplier came
from the teams and noted “powerful” but unspecified arguments
for switching to one tire maker. Michelin believes
that a single supplier will hurt competition without necessarily
reducing costs.
Relations between Michelin and the FIA turned
rancorous after last June’s U.S. Grand Prix at the
Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Michelin discovered flaws in its tires, and most of the field opted not to race.
In a blunt response to Michelin’s statement yesterday,
the FIA said the French company “wrecked” the U.S. race
and accused CEO Edouard Michelin of having an “almost
comical lack of knowledge” about modern F1 racing.
The brouhaha comes as two F1 teams—Toyota and
Williams—say they will switch from Michelin to
Bridgestone tires next year. The FIA expects to decide on
the one-tire proposal by year-end. |

| What is the reason for having more than one tyre supplier anyway? Didn't it all work out perfectly when Goodyear was in charge of every team? Why does F1 goes around in circles, changing rules then coming back to them after several years? |

Well, the silly season is already well and truly underway before the season is even finished.
Teams changing ownership:
Minardi -> Red Bull (not Red Bull Racing, but is gonna act as a junior teams)
Sauber -> BMW
Barrichello-> BAR
Massa -> Ferrari
Heidfeld -> BMW
Button -> Williams (I wonder if this is actually gonna happen this year:conf: )
anyyone else?
Oh, and as for tyres, I prefer having different suppliers. We have different teams, and different engines, why not different tyres? It is a competition afterall............... |

Big news!
Button has bought his way out of the Williams contract.
HE IS STAYING AT BAR.
BAR's line up for next year is now Barrichello and Button.
Williams remain with one confirmed driver, Mark Webber. Very interesting story. |
