REVIEW: Marco V and Mark Oliver @ Guv

Got downtown early, doors didn't open till 10:30.
Mark Oliver and Marco V dropped some nice beats (as expected).
It was nice to meet a lot of TOTAs which I hadn't seen before (thanks Natalie for pointing them out) :)
Left at 3:30, need rest. (Got a few projects to work on and a test on monday) :whip:
Overall, a fun night. |

Stayed till 4:30 or so. He played a great deal of hard trance which was excellent. I was hoping for a bit of regular trance, but it was pretty hard the entire evening. A great show though for the same price as a regular evening there.
The one thing I will never understand about the guvernment is the people who will wake into the middle of the dancefloor where you are dancing, and just stop. That wouldn't be so bad if they started dancing, because at least there was a reason for you getting crushed like a sardine, but when they just stand there, it is annoying. |

:D Super fun night...met lots of old and new TOTAS (MaxTO included :p - I think) lol...stayed all the way till 5am when Marco finished. Loved the set - really awesome, dirty, and just plain good. He finished off with a breaks remix of Greece 2000 and also played lots of other classics that the crowd loved.
I pretty much heard all the songs I was hoping to hear, feet are DEAD right now and eyes are already closed...will post a proper review later.
PS...nycionx I feel bad for not being able to give you that ride :( |

a very nice night!!! never heard Marco V before so I cant compare but it was an amazing set....MarK O was good as usual...Met some TAs aswell, over all a good night...Im glad I went.

Got there pretty early, even before the doors were open. Marc played a nice opennin set with some funky house slowly progressin to the harder , masterly done. Marco V fukin kill it! That guy can sure spins some insane tunes. Oliver's second set started a bit slower, wasnt up to my likings at teh time cuz i was still feelin marco's hard beats, but he pulled it off really nicely and gave us a treat in the end droppin those extra killer tracks!
Pettis man, u should've stayed, u missed one heck of an ending to a great night. Thanks to all the ppl out tehre tonight i had an awsome time, one of the best i must say! Great meetting new ppl and just ridiculous partying with the regulars, insanity!
This review is poorly written, just got home... its 8:22am and im back is sore :toothless cant think straight, just writing down whats commin to my mind... Shoutouts to Loca, loconet (Mah neighboor from the south, Beba, Cuzo, Trancechaos, preppie chick, pettis, andria and everyone else! man, what a fun night.
I danced man... i danced hard.... I dont feel like editing this saisa, dont wanna read it over, im just gonna keep on typing, or maybe i just should stop typing... :nervous:

I got there at about 2:45am, and the place was rammed. There was no coatcheck at that time, since they had run out of room. One of the bouncers told us to wait about 15 mins, and there would be more hangers then. Got the coats checked in about 20mins.. Not too bad considering what time we go there.
Inside the club, the heat was on :eek:. The club was hot! Marco was already in motion. Got to hear lots of great tracks both old and new. The drink was pretty rockin' too.
Overall, I say Marco is a fantastic dj. His mixing and programming is phenominal. I know that he was having fun last night :)
Good to see the TA's which is always great. Some very old friends came out of the woodwork as well. Great night overall! |
