True. I didn't mean for it to come out so harshly. Just wanna go back to Moscow or somewhere else in Europe. Seems like a better place for me. :) |
Man, you know things have gone to hell in this country when people start longing for the good old days in Moscow :p |

Yeah, i can't imagine what it must be like to live in america after living elsewhere. Growing up in america, I think I could adapt to living elsewhere, but suddenly coming to america is the best and worst thing all at the same time, probably. Tell us all about it, please :) |
Growing up in America doesn’t necessarily mean I can adapt so easily to living elsewhere.... however living in the parts of the US where I have, I have been exposed to many different cultures so personally I may be able to adapt easier. Culture being so different it is only reasonable to assume the musical tastes would be very different. Oh and please don't think MTV speaks for the majority of our musical culture :stongue: because it does not. There are a great many people who love trance techno prog etc here and they listen to very current stuff. I live near Detroit right now and a lot of techno and house is played here in the clubs. The city can also brag some very groundbreaking DJs when techno music began its popularity rise more than 20 years ago. Jeff Mills, Juan Atkins, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, and Eddie "Flashin'" Fowlkes are just some of the globally renowned artists who are pronounced among the first to play with this style of music.
Europe seemed to me for the most part to be very current in electronic music, but rather behind in terms of new (and good no poppy bull) rock, hip-hop, etc. not to mention I saw MTV being played at bars more than a few times.:D All in all it's a culture thing, it would be rather boring if everyone thought they were at the end all cutting edge of everything, there would cease to be diversity which spawns new styles. And besides it's pretty easy to stay current these days with the Internet and sites like this. |

US has a good scence, you've got good djs like Chris Fortier, Steve Porter etc.
and yes R&B/hip hop is as a matter of fact . That horrendous way of "homie" dressing is killing the planet. |

| Sasha just played in DC, and to go you wouldn't even have to buy tickets in advance, you could get them at the door. |

Whilst I can't speak for the rest of the UK, there has been a huge resurgance of trance nights in London compared to a few years ago :D
I'm not complaining, woot! |
