It's seems to really be picking up lately. So many choices! Lot's of viable venues. Even some underground warehouse parties!

And above all... good and proper house techno breaks and prog everywhere!!

Keep up the good work Toronto!

(Now if we could only get most people here to smile...............)

I'm craving some driving, hard techno lately. There hasn't been enough of it.

Agreed on all other points...although one of the city's top underground venues closed over the weekend, and I'm still a little heartbroken over it :(

Give it time. I've been singing about it for a year, Toronto's scene is on the way back up. Now we just need Z103 to play more Tiesto to replace what 108 did back in the 90's.

108 played a lot of euro but the diff was that they also played a lot of good electronic music as well. Especially all night. They also had DJ shows.

103 will never do that. I know for certain that management there is against anything remotely considered "underground". Just like any other radio station.

Sadly radio doesnt set trends anymore. Suits in New york and LA do and radio stations are the puppets that dance along to their orders.

PS i consider Tiestos productions to be Euro.

Sure! Get the kiddies hooked on the cheeze. Thats gateway music to real electronic music.

Let them hear Euro like Tiesto and Corsten so they can get used to commercial dance and then they will evolve into the good stuff.

Thats how i got into it back in the day only my tiesto and Corsten were Emjay and the Real Mccoy.

LOL LOL LOL

Wouldn't it be awesome if Club 246 could get a 24 hour spot on the dial?

Hahahaha Real McCoy were awesome....!

Yea I'm glad to hear the toronto scene is picking up. I've only been here for about 4 years and have only just gotten into the scene so for me its been great all the way, since I don't really have anything else to compare it to.

Unless I compare it to my time in Kuwait. Ugh. :p
