Damn it, I seem to miss all the warehouse parties. Either something comes up or I find out about it too late. Oh well, the scene does seem to be picking up and I'm really happy about that.

The people of Toronto had to find something to do since everyone couldn't be obsessed over Maple Leaf hockey like usual this winter.

i actually found last summer to be a bit dull, seemed like after june, early july, things just slowed down, march/april last year was a great time to be partying, and from the looks of it, this march/april looks promising....as for the vibe, i dont know if theres something different going on, but i find it that the last few times i went out, the people were in a good party mood, and not to mention my last two Guv experiences have been great, and this is after i vowed never to come back :tongue2

Thats why I won't like it.

Every club you go to, the DJ is put on a pedestal; he or she is the centre of attention. At Boa it's different. The awkward location of the DJ booth actually adds to the overall experience imo, because the people aren't focused on the DJ, but on the party. That's one of the first things I noticed when I first stepped into Boa.

Secondly, those steps are a bitch as it is. Now imagine facing the new spot for the DJ Booth, with the steps BEHIND YOU.

I haven't been to BOA since New Years so NOW the DJ booth is in the middle of the dance floor?

my understanding is that the DJ booth will face the main dancefloor. so when you are facing the booth, you'll be facing the stairs. they wont be behind you.

or did plans for that change?

Either way, don't knock the new location til you've tried it.
